How do you guys feel about Security Zone on Legendary?

With 4 players I'd love it. It's a map I've been putting off on playing until I could gather a full team.
And BTW, the Laser and Sniper spawn on the chairs next to the turrets, Laser on the left, Sniper on the right. There's also another Sniper way behind the enemy drop zone...

Only realy problem is buggers? How do we deal with those guys?

From my experience, the Drones will always go in one of three places: Directly above both spawns and in front of the main set of stairs next to the spawns. Using the corner near the stairs, you can hide and spray the Drone Minors with the SMG to kill them easily, Mythic skull or not. Drone Leaders are a bit trickier, as the SMG might not be enough, espescially with the Mythic skull on. I tend to save them for last during Drone waves. Carbines work wonders against them, and needlers will work too, but only use them when you have nothing else. I've been known to even laser them if I was out of options.

I can think of a few times I ended up Lasering a Drone.

Pretty much any map aside from Rally Point and Crater are fine with me. I perform well on everything else.

I've been working on a way to last out Firefight on Chasm Ten. Now that I understand the Engineer's pattern, if I know one is around, I can get it to expose itself for me without the risk of getting shot. They're rather willing to die. The only real pain are the Weapon Chieftains. Sometimes a Plasma Pistol overcharge followed by a Rocket works and sometimes it doesn't. If I can bring them in to a melee fight that would work out fine. Hunters were sort of an issue, as the only room big enough to fight them in a melee battle is the spawn room, which coincidentally if you're on the lower level every enemy comes rushing to you. So I ended up using the area at the top of the lift.

I just beat Uplift and ONI Alpha Site on Mythic first try, it wasn't online though so I'll just do them again when I'm going for the complete.

I think you mean the Armor Chieftain, right? :-P i.e. Fuel Rod Cannons.

Me too. Although I usually call "War Chieftains" "Fuel Rod Chieftains". :-P

There are 10 things I know about you. 1)You are reading my sig. 2)You are thinking that's a stupid fact. 4)You didn't notice I skipped 3. 5)You are checking it now. 6)You're smiling 7)You are still reading my sig. 8)You know all these things are true. 10)You didn't notice I skipped 9.

If I look retarded, It's because I make myself look retarded.

3 down 5 to go finished Uplift Reserve and Kizingo Boulevard today and am now starting Alpha Site.

I call them Weapon and Armor Chieftains, since that's how they're categorized on Halo 3's Campaign scoring system.

Weapon = Hammer, Armor = FRG, Plasma Cannon

EDIT: Apparently I had them mixed up all the time. Hammer Chieftains are Armor Chieftains, FRG/Plasma are Weapon Chieftains. Makes sense, since Hammer Chieftains use Invincibility.

You and everyone else. I was sure that in Halo 3 Weapon Chieftains had Hammers and Armour Chieftains had FRGs/Turrets.
Maybe they changed it for ODST?

Armor Chieftains seem to have the most health though, I can never shoot the helmet off of one. Don't know why.

It takes about 6-9 BR shots on Halo 3 but don't bother. Easiest assassination ever.

Easiest assassination would be on Hammer Chieftains. They don't shoot you.

I hate getting killed from one shot every time I try to get behind one. In ODST, if he hits you, you fly 50 feet away and he'll shoot you while you're flying. It's really frustrating.

Wait, I'm confused, are we using Armour Chieftain as Hammer Chieftain or Fuel Rod Chieftain in this statement? Since Starocean discovered there was a mistake somewhere I'm not sure who means what. :-S

Mythic Firefight won't work. Difficulty multiplier skulls are selected in sequences over the course of a set, and the only real difficulty one you control is Blind.

As for Campaign, fair enough, but Firefight is a no-no.

Two words...

Bonus round :)
One word: Grunts.

=P

Set 4 Completion Failure?
Tough Luck, ON.

Ah, god dammit, I'll only use Hammer and War now.

I was referring to the War Chieftains.

Ah. Ok. :-)
I can never get their helmets off either yet assassinating them is a pain too, more so now that they can throw you into the air before shooting you down. I laugh at Hammer Chieftains, but despise these guys.

Only safe way to kill them is with Rockets, that's what I save it for, Hunters too, but mainly War Chieftains.

My apologies, it was I who was making the mistake the whole time. Hammer = Armor, FRG/Turret = Weapon

Beat my old high score now on Chasm Ten. I scored around 801,000 on Security Zone and just got around 860,000 on Chasm Ten. Things started turning out pretty badly after Mythic turned on since you can't really get the Jackals to chase you to certain areas upstairs.

Yeah, the old "shoot 'em in the hand to expose their head" trick won't work with Mythic on. I find that backing away from them works well as they will expose their heads when running. If desperate though, overcharge a plasma pistol and hit 'em. Easy kill, plus they usually won't shoot without a shield.

Using the Plasma Pistol in Firefight on Jackals is good, they won't run away with their heads coveredwith their hands. You can headshot them right away.

In Campaign, it's -blam!-in' impossible.

Wow. Using Starocean's method of survival on Security Zone I managed to pull off 4 and a half hours on Heroic. Pretty good considering my right eye kept weeping due to an annoying cold I've got.
I was only 5000 points (I had 995,561) away from 1 million when a War Chieftain decided my time was up. :-(

Speakign of Firefight, when are we starting tonight?
