On Security Zone you usually get at least 1 every round and because you're usually at the bottom of the stairs they have height, defensive prowess and tracking rounds all at their advantage. You can't get close because they don't just come alone either and retreating gets you killed because they seem to have a godlike ability to turn to follow you and even shoot you out of the air.
Im really at a loss tbh. Sure they're not a problem on co-op but on Solo they really make dent in the life pool.
Really?
I played a game on Security Zone where I got over 800,000. War Chieftains never were really a threat. Once you know the wave has started grab a Plasma Pistol and situate yourself inside the spawn room so that you're close to the inner wall of the building right at the bend in the large hall. There's a small little spot around there you can pull back behind. Just keep an eye on the entrance. Typically, a Chieftain will come along; If it's a Chieftain with a Gravity Hammer, easy assassination. If it's a Chieftain with a Fuel Rod Gun, make sure they notice you then pull back behind that corner and crouch. Keep an eye out for the Chieftain's shadow, as he'll eventually move in after you. Once he's getting close, overcharge your Plasma Pistol and pop out and stun him with it. This gives you enough time to close in and get in to melee range. If you have a Gravity Hammer to go with the Plasma Pistol, you can just whack the Chieftain with a regular melee every time he tries to take a swing at you to cause him to recoil backward. I usually switch the Plasma Pistol for a Gravity Hammer if I get the chance. When you pull out around the corner with only a Hammer, though, you need to let the Chieftain get even closer than usual. The recoil only happens when the Chieftain's shields are down.
If I didn't have to go eat, we could have continued that game on Windward, too.
