What is mythic? Is it just legendery with all skulls on?

Legendary, all skulls on, no saves and scoring active.

Well....poo leak in my school, I was about to have a chemistry test right about now. And the school gets a poo flood.

Whatever it is, it smells like...poo. Looks like oil...and it's coming from every WC in the school. We had to flee. All I could save was my chemistry books and everything belonging to chemistry. My computer and all of my other books...are drowned in poo. School won't be open for a loooong time....

So...I guess I have some time to kill. Ironic as it is, I couldn't play at all because of school and now I'm gonna be tired of playing because of no school.

Not an everyday occurence. Good that you can play some more, but pretty bad that you're not gonna be learning anything for a while.
Now's a good chance to race Dark for the 7th spot... Or you'll get 8th again.

Haha true, but I donnu, yeah I'll probably go for it. It just feels weird. Is it really as satisfying as it was back in Halo 3?

Hmmmm...

You know, it's hard for me to say. I rushed in to the experience because I wanted to be first. The thing to remember is that, for the most part, you're not taking a step up from one difficulty to another. It's still Mythic, and by now we're used to it.

For me it was still fun and I was able to be the first one to finish. There's still a sense of satisfaction, but it's different. Coastal Highway was brutal, even with all of the levels I've done on Mythic. With nothing to go off of, the question I would find myself asking at times was: "Is this even possible?" It was possible, of course, but Coastal Highway is perhaps the ultimate test for Mythic conquerors past and future; you can keep yourself alive, but can you do it while protecting someone else?

I can speak for myself when I say I'm satisfied because I proved it could be done and gave others a helping hand with my films. Oddly enough, on levels like NMPD HQ, you can tell when I haven't explored certain spots because I'll zoom in on things like health packs just so I can remember them (and to make sure other people see them as well).

For me it's all about the experience, I just did NMPD HQ with 0 deaths but I had Iron and Blind off. It was my first try as well and it felt a little easy. More or less. Coastal Highway can't be good though.

So here's the thing. I have decided to go for Mythic completion in Halo 3: ODST....by starting a new Solo Game.

That's right, on Mythic, I feel that the only way I wanna complete the game on Mythic is to start from The Rookie's pod to the Phantom at the end of Coastal Highway.

So I will count the segments in Mombasa Street as levels. After completing a flashback level, I'll go to another flashback. If I die on my way to the next flashback, Iron will be kind and get me all the way to the last flashback.

7th or 8th, I'd be the first one doing this. :P Unless someone else has done it, don't really care, this is how I'm gonna do it.

Yeah, its worth it. Coastal will test your skills, again and again. Seriously, up to that point it was a cake walk, then it became The Ark but having to keep an ODST from the beginning alive with you the whole level.
And on the subject of the whole campaign thing, I think Vincent may have done that. In his data hive video, he had 29/30 audio logs, so I'm not sure...

If I start Data Hive right away then I will still have 29/30 audio logs.

And it's funny you mentioned the ODST because I managed to keep them all alive once to the point when they couldn't follow you anymore (after the Scarab).

Where theres a person who needs some training in Halo, i will be there.

Putting "Mythic" difficulty on firefight seems insane but the only problem is you would have to be on the fifth set to get all the skulls on.

I was kind of disappointed by the fact Mythic journey ended so quickly just a week after it release. The only level I managed to even struggle a little was Coastal Highway that I did finally manage right after fixing RRoD.

Well, if I remember right, that should give you the following for films:

1) Drop Pod to Tayari Plaza
2) Tayari Plaza
3) Tayari Plaza to Uplift Reserve
4) Uplift Reserve
5) Uplift Reserve to Kizingo Boulevard
6) Kizingo Boulevard
7) Kizingo Boulevard to ONI Alpha Site
8) ONI Alpha Site
9) ONI Alpha Site to NMPD HQ
10) NMPD HQ
11) NMPD HQ to Kikowani Station
12) Kikowani Station
13) To Data Hive
14) Data Hive
15) Coastal Highway

Number 13 is fun, because the rest of the city is locked off to force you to go to Data Hive. There are Hunters in one area, and guarding the door to Data Hive, two snipers, several Brutes, and a Chieftain. =]

Iron will force you to revert to the previous flashback from Mombasa Streets? I.E. Died on the way to Uplift Reserve, you end up doing Tayari Plaza over again?

Not quite. Say if you die on the way to Kikowani Station from NMPD HQ, you start over from NMPD HQ's beacon, with other words, if you die on your way to Kikowani Station, you'll see the cutscene where the Rookie leaves the bent Sniper.

I hate the area before Data Hive, I always die at least once. Although that's only when I complete Kikowani Station as the last Flashback. Say if I complete Kizingo last, then the door to Data Hive will be right in front of me, although the same amount of enemies will be there. But, it's easier to fight them off from a balcony.

I'll see for myself which flashback I wanna do last.

Hi

That poo flood really stinks for you Gazas (excuse the bad pun). Enjoy your complete Mythic campaign.

I'm starting to think that maybe we should include Mombasa Streets (or have a 2nd list including it)? It isn't consistent, but it is trackable on a per person basis. The only thing is that you will have to do a new game from start to finish and you can't simply load up Mombasa Streets from the mission select menu.

I will upload the films when I've done the Campaign. It doesn't say which segment I'm doing in the stats. It should say Mombasa Streets (A) for instance. Or (B) or (E). So I gotta upload the Mombasa Streets films to prove that I did them.

OR, I could take pictures of the cutscenes and they will appear as an asset and bam, there's my proof. You guys decide, upload film or screenshot of cutscene?

ANYWAY, just dropped off my pod.
Where's my squad?
Then I found Dare's Helmet.
Tayari Plaza
Then I made my way to Uplift Reserve.
Without dying of course.

I'll do Uplift Reserve tomorrow so I'll have more time on making my way to Kizingo after completing Uplift.

So basically, 3 down. 1 Flashback and 2 Mombasa Streets.

Help me decide though, is taking a screenshot of the cutscenes in Mombasa Streets better than uploading the whole films?

Hi

I'd do films, but screenshots would work too as proof.

And I've heard that the last firefight skull is 5M.

Looks like our job will only take 5-6 hours. Maybe start at like 6 eastern? We would finish at like 1 and be at maybe 6 mill. =)

That's not much, I had 3M. I can expect the second to last to be 5M.

So if the last one is 5M, then I must have been pretty close the second to last...damn why did I quit!

Oh, and did anyone notice how your Campaign stats upload to your Service Record even though you just Save and Quit? You could Save and Quit at the end of a mission and it would upload, isn't it possible to cheat this way? I'm tired now so tell me the ways of busting this cheat.

EDIT: Tyrant, since this is about Firefight too, couldn't you post up a Firefight Legendary highscore board for Solo and/or Co-Op? Just another topic.

I don't know if one hour equates to one million points with four players.

I did 4 player Co-Op with Dark and 2 other guys (Sorry can't remember who). We did it on Heroic and played for under 5 hours. Got 5 M.

Per player is different though lol.

Gazas, second to last is 4M. That is 100% proven. And Vincent, I really dont know. I played a 3 hour game and we had 2.5 Million (this was 4 player legendary on Alpha Site). But that was with players who were not that expereinced and got very few sprees. Also, we sucked a first, so it took a little longer than it should have. And finally, the points really only started racking up after 2 hours. Then we got 1.5 million in half the time. So I really dont know how fast the points would go up.

That was on Platoon though. Points come slightly slower on Alpha. SLIGHTLY. =P

Cool, dammit I only needed 1M for it, and 2M for the last Skull!

Anyway, I think Platoon is an awesome map for points. Wraiths, Choppers, and loads of Grunts in the Bonus Round.

Alpha only has infantry so yeah, points come slower. More or less slightly though lol.

What map will be done?

I think first we need to know how many people will likely be on. If there are like 6, one team (or both) will need an extra player or two from a random friends list. I will likely have somebody who can play, so why dont we see whos in first?
Also, I prefer Alpha Site because EVERYBODY gets highscores on LP, rarely does it take loads of skill. Alpha is more challenging (for me anyways).

That was ODST Panda and I : ) I thought we did it in under 4 hours? Whatever it was, it will go faster on Legendary.

Anyway, I won't be able to play at 6 eastern because I have testing during the morning and I won't be back until around 12 or 1 eastern, so you probably are going to have to count me out of this.

Yeah. That's 5 P.M. for me, but that means it's more or less out of the question for anyone in Europe. (That would mean we're starting at 11:00 for MATCLAN, which is kind of crazy asking them to stay up past 2:00 A.M.)

So most likely we'll be dividing up due to time zones.

Edit: As for level choice, I'm fine not playing on Lost Platoon (although it is the ideal level for using a Wraith because unlike other levels there aren't really any barriers to keep the Wraith from moving around the level).

Really as long as we're not playing on Crater (the health pack placement is my main issue with the level; I always end up picking them up on accident just because I have reduced stamina).

Agreed, Crater is just inconvenient for me.

New idea regarding the highest skulls. Okay, so everytime you achieve a new highest skull, the circle surrounding the skull becomes filled with green.
See Here.
Next highest known is 4M, seen his high score. As you see, it is slightly over 4M, and the bar is slightly full, leading me to believe the score is either 5M or 7M.
Gazas is the final proof, as it is a bout 50% full, as he is 1M off the last skull (2M) and 1M away from the next skull (4M).
So, maybe we can find this out and save some time.
