Oh yeah, someone wanted a stategy for Lost Platoon. I've logged about 13 hours and nearly 7 million points (for myself) on that mission, so I've got a few ideas.
Ideally, I'd say everyone should be in choppers, as early as possible. More guns the better!
It has excellent protection and it retains firepower over all sets, but, you already knew that :) Use it for splatter sprees while you have recharging health (being careful to dodge grenades when catch is on!). Then use it as a mobile turret thereafter. Good locations to turret from are either in the whole area around behind/beside the wraith hill (when one or both wraiths are active) or on the entrance platform (where you start from in Campaign). Though I've heard people use edges of the maps too.
For points, I'd say one person grabbing sniper and getting a sharpshooter with it at the start of every round (mostly on grunts, but PP brutes or jackals then headshot works good too. Even use the chopper to take off shields then headshot).
One person with the laser of course. Roll round in the chopper otherwise, hop off round the corner of a building or rock to laser the wraiths then continue. duh.
Other two people? PPs and Pistols :) Use mostly for choppers, stockpiling of course. I'd say once you get to about 15-20 stop bothering and just destroy the choppers. Splattering them while they're PPed or stuck against a rock nets a nice set of points.
Get yourselves killed after you get your Invincibles (should be good for lives with four people, you'll only get enough kills every few rounds. Perserving any vehicle or weapons you have of course.
Multikills are excellent for points too, as you all know already. Try taking out a brute first, then his 3 grunt cronies when they're in a squad for the overkill - totally awesome :) If survival is an issue just hit whatever comes first. Remember that pumping the trigger with the chopper gives a faster rate of fire too!
Hope that helps / someone reads it :P
