I've already completed Kizingo Blvd, but I'm just wondering. Has anyone found out how to bring a tank past the first and/or second barricade?
I only tried moving the Scorpion over the first barrier a few times before giving up. You could try strategically placing a Ghost or two to give yourself some leverage, but even if you got it over the first barrier, you wouldn't be able to get it past the second barrier. I took a Ghost up the stairs and tried to go around the second barrier (there's plenty of room), but there was an invisible anti-vehicle barrier that extended from the outsides of the second barrier to each wall. I could shoot enemies (with the Ghost) past the second barrier, but I couldn't drive past it. I don't know for sure, but I think it's safe to assume it would work the same for the Scorpion.
If you're just looking for a quick way to get past the last area and the skirmish on the way there (after the door opens), keep 3-5 Rockets and use all but one of them on the Grunts, Jackals and Brute that try to come out of the door as it opens. A few well-placed Rockets will cause them to retreat, giving you time to give your remaining Rocket to Dutch and follow the Covenant a certain distance forward to get Dutch to attack them with his infinite Rockets. Once he starts dishing out the pain, you can just hang back and pick off the Grunts, Jackals, and deshielded Brutes with the Automag (there's one lying outside the big door a few yards from the health pack).
On a similar topic that I've mentioned before, I've been able to consistently kamikaze my way to the area with the 2 Wraiths and 4 Ghosts (the area with the first and second barriers) in about 2 minutes or so (I'm just guessing) by running past all the Covenant in the first area, hijacking the Ghost as soon as the Phantom drops it, and boosting my way past everything else. However, I've still been unable to quickly destroy all the Wraiths and Ghosts to open the doors (you may not need to destroy them all; in one of my runs, there was still a Brute in a Ghost when the doors opened, but he may have taken mine after I abandoned it, so I'm not sure). They've just been too unpredictable. I could take my time and use all the Rocket ammo in the area to take the Ghosts out, but I really don't want to take my time. Has anyone else tried this since the last time I mentioned it?
Good story. I was just asking because I didn't want to post a video of me getting the tank past the first barrier, no propping up ghosts or anything similar required:
Here it is. It makes the second fight after the doors open too easy.
I didn't get the tank past the second barrier, but I imagine it would just be a deathtrap during the standoff if successful.
