I'm going to do this. It's about time i found some people who appreciate ODST.

What are the requirements for Mythic Difficulty, other than all the skulls on? It'd be more fun with buddies, so you can use the strategy aspect of communication.

Legendary and no deaths.

Mythic co-op is great, but difficulty-wise, it's really just adding more targets and an increased chance of being sent back to the beginning.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

Here's my conclusion in regards to Kizingo Boulevard...

Battling out the area with the twin Wraiths is possible without a tank, but hardly easy and will result in death most of the time. It does seem to be better to use the tank for that area. Right now, I'm just trying to find ways to cut the time down.

I cant remember the part that you are talking about, but isn't there a way of wating back and slowly taking out the enamys or even skipping the section? Maby I am wrong but if I remember it correctly, if you grab the rockets (again maby I am thinking of a different level) then the wraiths would be quite easy.

It takes at least 6 Rockets to destroy a single Wraith on Mythic. Couple that with the Famine skull and it's a futile gesture.

@ Gazas; "They always come back." How true that statement is lol.

There aren't enough rockets in the area to kill both Wraiths unfortunately. It takes at least six just to bring down 1. The rocket launcher can only hold a total of 8 at a time.

But if you shocked up on nades couldn't you perhaps take down the second? Sticking it six times as well as a two rockets should be enough to kill it.

Not a chance. Grenades are like ants to a Wraith; nothing more than a slight annoyance.
Even with two Rockets you don't see any noticable damage.

I suppose that theoretically I could hijack the first Wraith and then book it to the seperate supplies of Rocket ammo. However this wouldn't be very time efficient which was the whole intention of the exercise.

I think I found a way of getting the tank for the last area and upping my time efficiency thanks to Matclan's research in finding out what it takes to crack the back door.

For the area where you get the tank, you need only to kill the Shades, Ghost, Plasma Cannon, and Brutes. You can leave the Grunts to save time, grab the tank, and book it to the door.

From there (once through the door), you can park the tank, snipe the closest enemies, use the tank to kill the Wraiths and immediate threats, then proceed forward. Let's try that tonight and see how it pans out.

You're on. Although on co-op it would be much quicker as the tank could blast infantry and draw fire while player 2 takes a Ghost and goes in for the hijack.
As for solo though, I say try it. It sounds solid enough.

Here's what I'd like to do. Let's have one person execute while the other simply bares witness. Then we'll reverse roles and try it the other way to make sure it's repeatable. I'll go first to show you what I mean, and we can leave Iron off so that it won't spawn you in at a weird place and send us both back :-P

Sounds good. Just keep away from the exit as we don't want any teleportation to mess it up.

EDIT: Oh, and what time? 5:30 - 6:00 EST?

ETA?
Don't worry though, I'll be on all night as I've gotta keep my mother company whilst dropping my brother off at a train station at 4am.
Also, if I'm set to "Away" on the Xbox just message me on B.net and I'll join pronto.

I can promise you that I'll be on eventually, but right now I have to setup dual screen with two monitors when one of them refuses to work with a digital connection and I don't havea VGA splitter on hand...

Fifth Halo: Reach Mythic Conqueror

I was watching your Kikowani Stn. run Tyrant, and it looked like you were having a hard time with the Scarab. My advice? Ignore it completely. Just zoom up to the locked door with your banshee, unlock it and and then just stay close to the door until it opens.

Am I the only one who realized the objective was "EVADE or destroy the Scarab"?

Probably. I haven't been here in a while.

No, I knew that you can ignore it. But I really don't like leaving any threats alive. Better safe than sorry is my motto when it comes to Mythic.

Why leave it alive when it's just as easy to kill it?

Exactly. It takes all of 20 seconds to kill and makes a big explosion whilst not being able to shoot you on the exit. There's nothing to lose from killing it but everything to gain.

I don't really know how you lucky -blam!-s managed to skip it anyway, it blasted me every single time I went for the door instead of the Scarab itself.

It [Mythic]does not function in a meaningful fashion on XBL, map set purchase nunber two. Who cares the industry numbers are falling, as such problems will be resolved.
