Weapons
MA5K Carbine
The MA5K is a cut-down version of the standard MA5B Assault Rifle. The weapon is most likely lighter and easier to carry than larger assault weapons, and so it is possibly appropriate to call it a carbine
Bassicaly this weapon will work almost exactly like the Halo 3 ODST silenced smg (ssmg). Just like ssmg of ODST the MA5K will have the same range, same size crossheir. It will also have less ammo than the MA5B because it is a smaller and lighter version of it.
Characteristics:
-2x zoom
-same range as ssmg
-same size crossheir as ssmg
-32 rounds/magazine (that is the same amount of ammo that the Halo 3 MA5C has)
-Capable of getting head shots but takes approximetely 1medium size burst to the head (The burst being slower to get a headshot than the quick burst of a battle rifle but still very capable of achieving its goal quickly and efficiently).
The MA5K Carbine just like the ssmg will also have a hefty recoil if fired for too long meaning the weapon at long range will only be effective in burst. The most effective range for this weapon will be at medium range. This weapon will be very effective against shields but weaker against armor. This making it a lot more different then the assault rifle because the MA5B was tough against armor and weaker on shields. All these characteristics will aslo make it a harder weapon to use and will probably be prefered by the more pro players out there.

The MA5B Assault Rifle
The Assault Rifle I hope that will be used in Halo Reach is the MA5B, it will work exactly as it did in Halo CE except the cross heir will be a little bit smaller so the weapon will be little bit more accurate. It will also hopefully have new cool sound perferably one that sounds more like the Halo CE assault rifle rather than the panzy sound of the MA5C.
Characteristics:
-no zoom
-short to medium range
-60 rounds/magazine (so it can pick up more than 1 kill per clip without use of grenades + gives it
more of a automatic weapon feel)
MA5B will be tough on armor, weak on shields.
The Battle Rifle for Reach will hopefully work exactly like it did in Halo 3
To fix the whole balance problem:
-At short range the MA5B will usually be the most powerful weapon of the three depending on the skill of the player.
-At medium range the MA5K will most likely defeat the MA5B, and be weaker or equal to the Battle Rifle once again depending on the skill of the player.
-At long range the Battle rifle will usually defeat both the MA5B and the MA5K (if used properly meaning shooting at the head).
Plasma weapons will work exactly as they do in Halo 3 with plasma freeze (Halo CE players know what i'm talking about).
No spiker because it was useless.
The magnum will be the one from Halo 3 because I think it is the most balanced one and it is excellent weapon for infection because it isn't overpowered but still effective. This magnum is also effective in regular social slayer games if in the hands of a good player.
Spartan lazer i'm asking you guys to decide its fate. As for the rest of the weapons they will remain the same.
Grenades
The grenades will remain the same as they are in Halo 3. Except I believe the spike grenade did not exist yet so scracth the spike grenade.
Equipment
Keep equipment except for regenerators because those ruined gameplay. Some may disagree with keeping equipment but bubble shields are actually pretty balanced if you really think about it and the rest of the equipment never hurt really effected gameplay that much. Actually maybe also get rid of power drains...maybe...
Vehicles
Same as Halo 3 except the prowler will be replaced by the spectre from Halo 2.
