I've got tale that's never been told. Get to grips and handle your soul, 'cause I've got a tale that's never been told.

Well, we can't assume anything from the trailer or from the banner. The only thing we have to go off of is what Bungie says, and Bungie has said it will be a First Person Shooter and it will be a prequel, that is all we truely know.
People can speculate on anything that they want, but they are most likely wrong. A few coincidences in a banner compared to a book doesn't equal what the game will be.
In other words, Halo: Reach =/= Halo: The Fall of Reach.
We may play as the Spartans in the books, but then again for the people who have read the books those Spartans are already personnalised (Sp?). Bungie wants us to be immersed into the game, and if we are playing as a character that already has traits and a personality, well then, we can not feel as if we are that character.
The main character you will most likely play as is a Spartan that we don't know, so that way we can feel as if we are that Spartan when playing.
Yeah, I agree. Maybe assume wasn't the right word. I guess hope for would be a little more accurate. Spartan or not, I'm sure it'll be amazing.
