A soldier should never be honored for something that was expected

"Hi Ben"-Regret
"REX Sword"-Outskirts
"Gold Heretic Banshee"-The Great Journey
"Your weapons are same[not duel wielding]"-Anywhere,but best in outskirts
"Infinate Ammo"-anywhere,but best in outskirts,or at least the begining

What do you mean 'same' weapons?

How do you get infinite ammo without mods?

The only infinite ammo glitch I know, is using up an energy sword, then carrying it to the next level, and thus, obtaining a somewhat invisible sword with infinite ammo.

As for what he meant by having the same weapons, he meant the triple wield glitch, which I done recently in Cairo Station.

Here is a true story, explaing the glitch:

I was playing co op with my sister a week ago, I duel wielded Plasma Rifles, and my sister used a Battle Rifle, at a hangar, I noticed my sister had low ammo, so I switched to my Battle Rifle, and swapped it for a random plasma pistol, so my sister could have more ammo for her BR.

And so, with my PP, I find, and duel wielded another PR, but notice it had low power, so I find another PR, and I had the obtion to press Y to duel wield, or press X swap my PP, and I chose to swap it, and later on, I noticed I had third PR, when I was switching weapons.

Basically, it is possible have two of the same weapons without duel wielding them, but you have to have three of the same duel wieldable weapons, plus a different duel wieldable weapon to perform the glitch.

Yeah I know about the sword thing, it just didn't sound like that was what he was saying.

I tried for a long time to get the Scarab gun from OS to Metropolis and one of the ways was to triple wield. To bad it didn't work in any of my combinations.

What gets me is you can take a beam rifle to Metropolis but not a PR that is really a Scarab gun.

the same weps without duel weilding, meaning for example your primary weapon is an asmg, and your secondary wep is an smg.natually,it counts as duel weilding,so just 1 smg has 360 ammo.if you do this, then really duel wield,2 smgs have 540 ammo

infinate ammo glitch works best in the begging in outskirts.
make sure your weapons are different from at least 1 other marine.use up 1 full clip, but dont reload.switch to your second wep, then get next to a marine, switch to your wep that needs to reload, give it to the marine, and he should reload it.if done right, take back that weapon and even though its been reloaded, your ammo is still max

example:BR at 108,use a clip,do the glitch,it wont be at 72,it will stil be at 108

the sword glitch is cool too XD

I understand what you mean now about infinite ammo. Your first glitch is typically called 'triple wielding', at least that is what I'm used to and that's why I didn't understand what you meant.

The two glitches that you mentioned are fun and usefull so cool beans.

Even though there are hundreds and hundreds of glitches, one I'd like to mention involves the Blackeye skull. You can turn the snow off on Quarantine Zone if you get the BE skull, but you don't have to keep BE on. Just save and quit, eject the disk and when you resume that save the snow will be gone. The whole level is a lot more enjoyable when the weather is crystal clear, for me anyway. There's more to the BE skull and how to use it but that is for another time.

well considering you need to be on legendary mode to get BE i can never touch it

BE is not as hard as I used to think it was.

My strategy:

Race through to fight the two Wraiths at the door but let Mr Invincible catch up in the Wraith and he will kill everything. There's enough checkpoints along that stretch. You can also just lay back and let Mr Invincible clear the way from the beginning.

When you open the door just let the two Hunters go ahead. Sometimes they die right away and once in a while they will get almost all the way past the Zen Garden area. Just keep reverting at least until they are in the Zen Garden area.

There are beam rifles (snipers) available up to the Zen Garden so I use them. There's a rock wall covering as soon as you enter that map so stay behind that cover and cloak, run out, shoot and run back to the cover. I can kill everything in the Zen Garden this way.

Next is the bridge. I go back and get the Ghost I used to run the first map with. I then stay behind the closed door. The sniper on the bridge is always in the same area so cloak, open door, shoot sniper and then backup to close the door. Then just stay at the door area and pick off all enemies. If you stay back the Phantom won't come to hassle you until you're ready to run across the bridge in the Ghost.

The prisoner room is easy. Kill the Jackals that peer around the corner at you, then set the Ghost close to the opening leading to the cell area. Cloak, get in Ghost, move out and shoot open the Hunter's cell. Then go to the other side and free the sword Elites. Play this part over and over until they win.

Go start the docking area fight and your Ally's will win most of the time.

After the cutscene pick up a Banshee and don't fight anything. Just fly up high to the platform on the tower and just go get the skull.

Sorry for the WOT but I love this skull, just for QZ and also it's helpful to launching properties. Don't forget to save and quit while flying the Banshee. Then name the profile Blackeye and you have that save forever.

Black Eye skull bugs up the snow animation, the same animation is used on Quarantine Zone and Lockout, so it also disables the snow on the multiplayer map as well.

Since all the major glitches and eggs are probably well known, I can only offer up an Easter zygote. If you keep a lone berserker alive at the beginning of Gravemind and jump up onto one of those...floor cube/formation things, he can't hurt you. Stand as close to an edge as possible and he'll end up getting stuck on it. The vocalizations will eventually settle into a pattern that I call the "Brute megamix." Am sure computer-savvy folks could turn this into something funny using a music program.
(Nothing great, but, I'm such a fanboy, I get a kick out of seeing a Jackal holding a needler. And OP did say, "your.")

Alright, here's another cool part of the game. In Great Journey there is a thing I (and several other people that know about it) call a 'Space Hole". It's located in the sky above the Control Tower at the end of the level: YouTube

You either have to launch there or swordfly.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

In Zanzi, after you open the gate, on the screen you see a BSOD (i tried it in the pc version and it works)

Grumpy - Sorry if this is old, but, I can't be alone in wondering how you come up with all these things. Do you mess around with physics and take note of what happens ? Or do you set a goal of getting somewhere (etc.) and figure out how ?
If you want to keep the process secret, is understandable. But if not, how doooo you do it ?!

I don't want to keep any secrets, my friend. Anyone is free to ask and if asked, I'll start blabbing.

So.......I knew nothing of tricking/glitching until I came across a website solely committed to tricking (highimpacthalo.org). They did, and we still do, make videos documenting crazy things one could do in H2. There was absolutely no modding allowed and that's why you had to back yourself up with a vid.

Anyway, I studied all the available vids starting in Feb of '05. All the trickers helped each other with suggestions of tricks or how to solve a problem (if you were stuck and not making headway and such). The H2 forums were buzzing with exchanging ideas and so each finished trick was a collaboration, of sorts. I found my share of stuff all by my lonesome but mostly the stuff that looks like I found I didn't. I would just take ideas and expand upon them, as would all the people at HIH.

Lastly, my particular philosophy that has worked is to experiment a lot. Once you learn the art of launching yourself (SP and coop) and vehicles then the game opens up like a giant maw. I practiced a lot for launching. I just picked an open area just after a checkpoint (CP) and used a Hog with 2 Marines inside. Just get out and experiment with tossing a nade under the Hog and then getting in to see where you fly. With a CP you can toss a nade every few seconds (then revert) and it won't take long to get good.

One thing is for sure, on HIH I'm just another tricker, nothing special.

Here's the "To Do List" for others if interested. I wish I could edit the list, there's more to be done.

One notable easter egg, is in the level, Uprising, when you pick up a sword from a nearby dead elite, the elite will say; The brutes have betrayed us, the Councilor's........

While it may seem that the elite was dying, and was saying his last words, that elite was actually dead, and his "ghost speech" was an homage to an older game, Pathways of Darkness. (a game created by bungie, that is essentially, a spiritual prequel of the Marathon series)

In the game, Pathways of Darkness, the player comes across corpses in the game, and by using a yellow crystal, the player can communicate to the ghosts of these corpses to gain information from them.

Wow, that's interesting. I never heard of Pathways of Darkness.

I sometimes research into the older Bungie games, interestingly, their is an avatar for this game, available here, which shows the floppy disk with this games title on it.

Sweet work there, Kasith.
I always wondered what was up with that speech. Would run around the corner to try to help the other Elites, but they were always already dead.

Rofl, that's one reason I love H2 so much. They allowed plenty of room to explore (almost no barriers) and they left eggs too. I discovered that the existing map overlaps sometimes puts you in the area of a cutscene while you are off-level. If you take vehicles and put them where a cutscene happens, then backtrack to the original path and activate the cutscene, you will see the vehicles. Fun as hell for me.

Here's the biggest cutscene I messed with:

QZ Cutscene Madness

Here's an example of overlapping maps. All the Ghosts you see that are out of place are actually on another map (at the same instant) and all I do is transport the Ghosts from point A (off-level) to point B (off-level), then go back and look when I resume the normal play:

Overlapping QZ Maps

There are so many triggers and loadzones that mess with the game and they're on every level, like on/off switches. Heh, there's a spot in QZ where you are on six different maps at the same time. The fun never stops.
