Why doesn't bungle/gearbox/microsoft fix the lag? Heres why:

Ask Micro$oft and they say: Not my problem, go ask bungle
Ask bungle and they say: Not my problem, go ask gearbox
Ask Gearbox and they say: Not my problem, go as micro$oft

I emailed all 3 of them, and those were the 3 replies I got (that was the point of them anyway).

Nobody cares obviously. Oh well, games dead in a year anyway, so who cares?

Wanna know why they dont fix lag? Because it has nothing to do with them, it has to do with GameSpy which is hosting the multiplayer part of HaloPC

Ugg the only way to fix lag is to have dsl people on your server without and dial up people on it.

Integrate the Halo 2 Networking into there, also increase auto aim...it sucks but at least we can get a good game.

To go with this thread, is there any way at all to adjust the packet rate on my server to make it more of an even field? I'm so used to using the quake engine games, that this is so very limited to me. There are many many server side additions that should be made to create a more custom and fun server game to play. ie: server side gravity, speed, packet rates, etc.

gamespy? that is the dumbest guess ever. Gamespy hardly affects halo.

Bungie said "Not my problem"? WOW, Bungie needs to be a lot more formal when talking to their customers. WOuld M$ say Not my problem, and blame it one someone else?

i read in a magazine called game informer once about the customer support of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. They sent an email to the three companies about a problem with their consoles. Nintendo wasn't all that clear in their response, as if it was an automated email response (I have gotten responses like "we are sorry that..."). Sony was glad to help to fix the console free of charge, which is pretty rare.

Microsoft was something else. They sent an email about an xbox hard drive problem, something like the free space dissappeared all of a sudden. Microsoft acted like it was all the customers fault for the problem, and rude too.

I gotta dig through all of my game informers to find the article.
