Bees, or bumblebees in particular, theoretically cannot fly. Scientists and and engineers have all studied the anatomy of the bumblebee extensively, and according to all studies, it should not be able to life itself a a single milimeter with its wings. Yet we see it fly just like any other insect. Maybe the symbolism is there: a project so unweildly and complicated no one thought it could fly. But it will, or already has.
Actually they figured out why they can fly.
They beat their wings in a figue 8 pattern which basically gives the effect of doubling the amount of lift.
what does that have to do with anything?
