The question on everyone lips is why have they wanted us to go to that website, am I right? Now there is still a while to go before the release of Halo 2, so it can't be a countdown to that obviously (countdown at www.metallix.vze.com). The trailer was meant for movie go-ers right? So start there I suppose. You are watching a movie, the trailer shows up, last second the bees url comes up and dissapears. Obviously only meant for people who are really paying attention, the Halo 2 fans. My theory, there is something at the end of this, first person to find it wins something. Bottom line, its just a publicity thing, and its obviously working, got me hooked.
So what have we got tech wise. Well the countdown timer is part of the website, so that means it is obviously just a game. the timer will stop on Date(2004,7,24,6,7,0) because that is how it has been programmed in the code. Not hard, thats how I did it on www.metallix.vze.com. As someone has already pointed out, keywords for search engines are as follows: "honey, bees, Margaret, small busines, beekeeping,
hives, retail, market, Operator, bug, buggy, virus, infestation, WTF is
going on with this damn thing, parasite, strong intrusive inclination, medium,
messages, shipwreck, network throttling, SOS, hoax, game, bee hoax, bee game,
survivor, survive, evade, resist, escape, a little help would be appreciated,
thanks and tip your waitress, sleep, is, good, install, reinstall,
re-reinstall, re-re-reinstall, I, love, bees". Now obviously some of those don't belong on a bees website. Perhaps hinting of the secret enemy, like Halo 2's equivalent of the Flood? Now from that we can also confirm that it is a game from the "bee game" keyword. the something awful pic my guess is just publicity for that website, you went there didn't you? I've got another theory which I'm going to check out...
