ok I posted in just about every thread existing about this. Keep in mind, to speculate about this properly, ONE MUST KNOW EVERYTHING about bungie, meaning PLAY ALL 3 MARATHONS, read about the CORTANA LETTERS (google search: the cortana letters), have read EVERYTHING ABOUT HALO, and played the game (the books, well they werent written by bungie, so i dont count them, and theyre only 3rd rate sci fi books, kids crap)
THIS IS NOT FOR THE CASUAL FAN TO CONTEMPLATE. I'VE BEEN PLAYING BUNGIE GAMES FOR 10 FRIGGIN YEARS AND I DIDNT KNOW HALF THE -blam!- ABOUT THIS UNTIL TODAY, AND THATS ONLY HALF THE -blam!-! I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO SPECULATE. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THIS STORY (HALO, MARATHON) IS ONE OF THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND CHAOTIC STORIES I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED ( I've read House of Leaves, Seen Evangelion, read almost every major religious text, read 6 of the most prominent OTO/aleister crowley books, read about the qabalah, etc. in my 19 years of being a curious bastard, and a smart one too, I've never seen a story so complex, ok well Dune is more comprehensive, but not nearlyas complex, Evangelion is as complex, but not nearly as deeply rooted in human culture. Alot of the references in the BUNGIE story are ACTUALLY MEANINGFUL, refering to popular culture, classical culture, ancient myth and lore, literature from every epoch of man, and addresses the most important goal of the human race, to UNDERSTAND GOD)
-blam!- YOU, -blam!- ME, and -blam!- YOU BUNGIE!
F-UCK YOU, YOU STUPID MOTHERF-UCKER!
The Halo books were written with the CLOSE ATTENTION of Bungie, and followed the RULES OF THE HALO BIBLE. NOTHING IN THOSE BOOKS was false, and they were an INCREDIBLE read (Except for the Flood). First Strike, and The Fall of Reach were absolutely the coolest books I've ever read, and I don't even LIKE sci-fi novels.
I AM SO SICK OF PEOPLE DISSING THE BOOKS JUST BECUASE THEY'RE NOT CONNECTED TO A CONTROLLER!!!! F-UCK YOU!!!!
