Gears of War:
No vehicles in multiplayer
No Jumping
Maps not too complex
My guess is that it's easier making bots if a game got less components to worry about.
Bots use waypoints to navigate the maps, and you learn these waypoints rather quick if you play against them, you learn their strategies, if they don't come one path, they will most likely come the other, so matchmaking bots would be more in the way than help, or you would constantly have to watch their back and help them, negating any other strategy you could think of that could win the game, and so on.
Sure, it would be fun to mess around in the beginning with the bots. But let's face it, you wouldn't be able to play forged maps with them and you wouldn't be able to play most of your own custom ruled games. Well, you could, but the room the programming for the bots would take on the disc would probably be alot, and that could in turn, prevent other features from being in the game.
So no, I wouldn't like bots, I'd like to see the money, time and storage space equal to efficient bots, used on something else.
