Halo 3 Spawning system had a very simple plan

Spawn in small area's and run to the bigger places with weapons and vantage points

It was a ... all right system

Has anyone noticed the lack of spawn killing in Objective games?
Sure there is your classic case of beach spawning on High Ground.

But i have an idea for Reach that should fix alot of the problems

The first idea is to base the map around Forts
If you think about it most small slayer maps have that in Halo 3
Like Blackout and Gurdian for example.

But the problem was they used there spawn in small places and walk to the main places tactic

In my opinion I think Bungie should have all Fort Based Spawns for example no spawning in the top mid or bottom mid.

That way when you spawn you have the Vantage point on the enemy with your default weapon against the enemy with the power weapon

Second i think since you can't have all forts put small spawn hives with no strategic advantage at all. something similar to the caves on Ghost Town

So you got your spawning Hives and Your Forts/Bases which will be the only places to spawn
Which mean the Power Weapons will be in the Non-Vantage point of the map.

By doing this you will have something kind of similar to Trench Warfare which obviously results in stale-mate. Which will result in Skill and Strategy be the victor in your game.

Lastly Group spawns instead of a constant pointless attack a group attack

For those who didn't read here is a summary
Spawn in forts/spawn hives
Power Weapons in the open
Group Spawns

how would you group respawn?
like, by waves, like in gears of wars? if you die you have to wait 15 seconds and everybody else who've died during your countdown spawns with you?

if that's the case, then it'd be more annoying than anything, because i'd have to wait more than 5 seconds....

No what i would do is make it a ten second spawn time and once the game starts you can use the game clock to tell what time the people will spawn on both teams

You can take advantage of the low spawn time and go in on the 5 second mark

that sounds like what I described to be honest... but with a 10 second spawn time instead. it IS like gears of wars :p

dunno, it might work, but I don't like the idea. maybe in btb or games with more than 5 people....

The problem is spawn killing would be worse. As people would just sit outside the hives or forts and kill anyone before they got 3 steps out the doors.
