I love them, it means 'vehicals' to me. I hope all the maps in Halo2 are big, like they say Waterworks is.

I hope Halo 2 isn't ruined by all the maps being super large and annoying. I don't mind if there are big maps like BG. But they're not fun unless you're a newb or an idiot, so as long as the majority of maps are small/medium sized; (Prisoner/Hang em/Chill out/etc) then all will be well.

big maps take more skill, with navigating, sniping/avoiding being sniped, and more tactics and stategies. Small maps are just a noob AR fragfest

I like some big maps, only if there are more than 2 people on each team, like when im playing with my brother, he always wants to play sidewinder and its boring as crap, because you find him, kill him or be killed, then you walk around for another 2 minutes and do it again. In my opinion, that seems kinda boring.

Big maps take less skill, here's what I mean .. "I got sniper, I roxz0rzed you" The end. If you're going to play BG put it on 15 second respawn so the other team has a chance to score. The maps are so big, and people put it on like .. instant respawn which makes it impossible for a game to end. Close range maps take more skill .. you're near your opponents, and btw .. I hardly never use AR .. and most good people for that matter do ever either. Being near your teamates and your opponents takes more skill. Shooting close range and stuff instead of knowing how far to lead ..

It's funny how no one will vote for a poll if for insult them if you do! I like balance in my maps and would prefer not to have blood gultch like maps in Halo 2 becasue if you have a big map what's the point if you can snipe all the way acrossed it? But with maps like Zanzibar, Waterworks and Burial Mounds this doesn't seem like a problem.

Personally i prefer battlefield style maps, they allow for vehicles which just brings entirely different strategies and tactics than small maps. In small maps all people ever +do is run around and blast everything that moves.

Sidewinder = Bad
Blood Gultch = Bad

Problems with sidewinder, you can have one person or more stand in the ladder all the time, wait for someone to come and kill them, no one ever scores .. wow .. the rest of that map is either getting out of the level or sniping. What a great game that never ends.

Same applies for Blood Gultch, people try to camp, but do less since it's harder to do so. And the rest is sniping. The end. Game never ends (if you're good you know how to not let it end)

the only problem with the first game was that there was only 2 levels which you could have vehicles, and in sidewinder all the action was at the bases, not in the middle at all nothing ever happened there, but i think in halo 2 the levels will have more "stuff" in them like zanzibar i like the whol wheel thingy and you have to do that to get the plasma sword, i like that and you have to work to get a sniper rifle or rocket launcher, bungie is learning that they need more maps with more "stuff" in them and by stuff i mean like zanzibars base, that is like a huge maze thing and thats what makes it cool because there more crap around it. but if theres more "stuff" in the level it also makes it harder to have vehicles because its harder to get around. but responding the the blood gulch thing yea the sniping thig is true but that level is just fun for messing around and stuff i hardly ever play a serious game there the only things i do there is like ramming the warthogs isto eachother, thats all its good for, its just an open field and yea i know this is long so ill stop typing riiiiiight now bye.

I like some big maps. Small maps take less skill. Grenade... BOOM... the end. Plus, you end up in a firefight with someone, then someone else just runs up in the middle of the battle and kills both of you, cause you're both low on shield/health. You gotta keep moving in big maps and make sure you're not an easy sniper target. I don't like Sidewinder though. If the map is gonna be big, make it almost entirely open. That way you can see most of the map, with or without a rifle.

And if you're good, you will make the game end by killing the campers/snipers, while your friend goes in for the flag. It's not that hard to kill a sniper. You gotta dance your way to a ghost, then run them down. Campers inside the base aren't that hard, just takes a few grenades.
