Everyone is expectiing Halo: Reach to be a mindblowing experience, one upping all of Bungie's previous entries in the Halo series(as do I).
I'm sure most of you (If you've been paying attention) have heard all the buzz (rumors) around Reach's new "AAA" engine. The game is expected to be cutting edge in graphics, gameplay, and scale.
Halo 3 has so far been the most full featured Halo game to date. With Forge, Saved Films, Theater modes, 4 co-op campaign, and matchmaking with 11(i think) maps. Bungie even mentioned that a Firefight-like mode hit the cutting room floor due to space issues.
If Halo: Reach is to truly surpass Halo 3 in functionality, graphics, and content, these things would need to happen: A more advanced Forge mode would be added(maybe even a rudimentary map editor), More functionality with Saved Films and Theater modes (a la uncharted 2- look up uncharted 2 cinema mode), and some people are suggesting that Reach must have a survival type mode.
There is no way that all of this could fit on one DVD-9 disc. I think the route Bungie will take is to have one disc for campaign, co-op, and survival mode if there is one, and another disc for matchmaking (having saved films, and theater mode overlap).
