yo killers, I hate all video games, but Halo was different, special, and will always be the best!! My gamer tag is ryno5510 hit it. ps the books are nasty as well lets get Nylund on another.

In the first game CE, they speak of Reach being destroyed by the convanant. Yes, Eric nyland's the best si fi writer and did an amazing job with the halo books and reach is my favorite by far. On the contrary, bungie has been planning Halo for a very long time now and if they put reach being destroyed in the first game they may have their own story to tell, just like how first strike or onyx arent games its a different story, and the flood was so boring just play the game haha its the same thing. So yes they may choose Nylands story or they may use a variation of their own, they were the ones with the origional idea. Ethier way i will be more than content with anything Bungie puts out, they never let me down and all of you being on this site know that youve never been let down or there wouldn't be so many fans. Who knows though maybe Nyland was in cahoots with them befor Halo CE came out so they had the story planned, thus the Fall of Reach by Eric Nyland and the main setting for Halo Reach the game.

Yar-har!

Sarcastic Response: Yeah, no, The Fall of Reach was completely unrelated to Halo and Bungie had no idea it was being conceived. That's totally how it happened.

Real Response: The Fall of Reach came out before Halo: CE actually, and it's definitely considered canon to the Halo Universe. Which means that the Fall of Reach and Halo: Reach will be in the same setting, but it more then likely won't be through the eyes of the same characters.
