Halo 1 multiplayer is most fun I ever had on a computer. I used to play HL2 online alot but have basically switched over to Halo 1. I'm sure many more would play it if they knew about it and gave it a try.

Halo CE and PC has the best multiplayer of all Halo PC games.Because no hackers(Well sorta) and the ability to create kick ass custom maps(Overused)And to those people who want to get H2V you can forget it stick to Halo CE and PC.

Actually I just started playing Halo 1 with my boys (bought it used and we are learning the game now). Could you let me know if you've ever played it over a LAN? We have a LAN in our home and I can't seem to get this to work. Do you need 2 separate copies of the game? And we would love to play online! Not sure how to get an id yet.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

You need a separate copy of the game for each computer. Sucks, I know.

Separate copies are required for a LAN, to play online, just connect to the internet, (make sure you logged in as an Administrator with Vista), then hit multiplayer on the menu, then hit join game - internet, which will then auto-update you.

Once the game has updated, simply join a server that is hosting a map, or gametype you like (or on with lots of players), and enjoy playing.
