What a waste....

Alright, let's cut to the chase people:

Do you want a class-ish system?

I think it would work for a few reasons.

Firstly, just having maybe one perk and choice of rifle. I think that seems a bit too little though. How about we have actual different classes? Like sniper, assault, engineer.... kinda like BF: 2142 except WAY different.... sorta... eh...

Second, maybe choice of starting grenade, starting sidearm (SMG, plasma rifle, pistol), starting weapon, (no rockets, no shotguns, and overall no power weapons) and maybe choice of med kit? For example-one for bullet wounds, one for plasma burns, one for head injuries? idk...

Also, something I REALLY want in a game is this: stumbling when shot. A person doesn't just keep walking after getting blasted by an AR. To add on to that, how about you also go slower unless treated by a medical kit?

Perhaps an "inventory" system would also do well. Like... right on the d-pad to open backpack, select with d-pad.... etc, etc.

I made a thread. I explained how custom Halo classes would work. (You can choose a primary weapon, a side arm, and two grenades and that is it).

I balanced weapons out, etc.

I got 20 pages of "noez itz wuldzz bees likz CoDzz!"

You got this idea from my thread, didn't you?

But of course, you had to make it different...

Edit: You made this 10 minutes after posting in my thread.

No, it wouldn't be Halo, the reason I'm excited for Reach is that maybe all of the flaws in every game will be fixed, and we will get something even better than Halo: CE out of it, I'm all for a halo class based game, but not Reach, because I don't want Halo 3 to be the last actual Halo game, as great as it is.

Hello! I'm a male!

Ok perks? that;'s from Call of duty
Classes? Call of duty again ..... and battlefield
Choice of grenades? again call of duty
Choice of starting weapon? Call of duty
Med Kit? America Army True Soldiers ...... Battlefield
Stumble when shot? They're super soldiers that don't notice it and besides got energy shields so it's like a tickle b4 it actually hurts
Go slower? ok well yea they may be genetically and biologically enhanced but they should still slow down. I agree with this. still this is from Gears of War (epic games idea)
Inventory system? brute force ...... mass effect (sorta) ...... rainbow six (kinda)

Only one good idea in here that would work 4 a halovers based game and that's slowing down when shot ......... and then they'd be stealing it from Gears of War

In the long run your idea is making gears of duty battlefield effect soldiers force ........ i don't think a game being sub-called that title would sell that well ..... so keep dreaming dude Bungie isn't ganna make a game called gears of duty battlefield effect soldiers force

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

Classes would work if you made it so that the only thing a class would get is a perk when they had a specific weapon. Such as, the Sniper class could zoom in further with all weapons, the Heavy Weapons class would be slower but more powerful with power weapons, etc.. It would still be classic Halo because you would still spawn with the same weapons as everyone else and you would still fight for the power weapons and map control.

what exactly is "Halo"....a shooter made by bungie .....what is this "actual" halo game you are talking about

thats kind of a weird non-progressive mentality to have , if adding a class based system to the gameplay will freshen things and add another layer of depth to the multiplayer ...then ...why are you against it ,in favor of this "actual" halo game

Screw recon, I want my 42 steak dinners.

No, I would not like classes in Halo. that would mean there wouldn't weapons all over the map like Halo is supposed to be.

Besides, gametypes would be unbalanced if you could choose a sniper or a rocket if the default weapon is there for a reason.

And the second poster guy needs to shut up about his stupid weapons balancing system, because it sucks. And like he said, He has 20 pages of people telling him how much it sucks.

Its not luck, its the TwitchFactor.™

The only way i could see classes in Halo is that we use the same method used in Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron. In that Star Wars game you had a certain number of Points that you could use to make a custom class but you can't go over a certain number of credits (but you can sell the weapon back for the same amount of credits).
For an example, lets say you have 200 credits and a sniper cost 140 so then you have to buy an equipment and a weapon for 60 credits or less, that way people won't be running around with sniper and rockets.
But Bungie normally makes their own things of doing stuff, so I don't really know if it would work good with Halo
