Meh, whenever there is a question like this I refer to Halo Wars, which has the Halo 3 Scarab instead of the Halo 2.

I don't think it should matter much. We don't even know if we're going to play as Spartans yet.

Actual if you listen to the podcasts and what not you'd of learned that you DO INDEED have a health bar in Halo 2 and 3. It is invisible and recharges at a rate slightly slower than your normal shield.

Well technically speaking yes, as the spartan armour only received built in biofoam injectors at the start of halo 2 (in simple terms the need for health pack were not required any more)

However i'm sure if bungie wanted to stay with HALO: 2's / HALO: 3's health system they could work out a valid reason for it,
or perhaps they may even introduce a new health system not yet used in any HALO game

Don't hate... ...loathe.

It makes sense to me that they would take the ODST health system and add shields to it. They spent a lot of time refining that system.

I think they would lower the damage taken by the endurance system that takes damage before the health drops or incorperate it along with the shield. The sheild taking more damage from energy wepons and endurance droping from projectiles or using a special ability that people keep dreaming up.
