Ok everyone on here knows about ilovebees.com I'm assuming. But trying to dig out the theories in the other thread is becoming impossible. Let's start a thread that digs through the evidence we have been given and try to see how it relates to the Halo universe.

Rules
1) Don't copy and paste anything from the site even if you think it is something new (unless you are showing a point)
2) Your post must have a theory or speculation or draw some type of relation between info on ilovebees and the halo universe.

There are two groups of people in the world - those that hope, and those that wish. The first group hopes that nothing bad will happen. The second group wishes that they are there when it does. Which one are you?

The part describing Gregor Samsa waking up to find himself a verminous bug is a direct link to a peice of writing called "The Metamorphasis" or something close to that, though I cannot recall the author.

Edit: Ah yes, now I remember, the piece was written by Franz Kafka.

K I have noticed a trend on the website with quotations from novels or plays dealing with shipwrecks. ie the Gullivar's Travel quote and the quote from Shakespears "The Temptest". Also the hints to an AI being involved(letters missing from gullivars travel quote and other misc). Lead me to believe that this has been a ship wreck and that an AI is on board.

I wonder if this ship is going to fall into covenant hands and this will be how they finally find the location of earth.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Vorroa Mites look like infection forms and there is some lady that has 7's at the end of her e-mail. Aug. 24 is when the countdown ends right? It's all 77 days away from Halo 2's release date. Enjoy.

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY
black beach, nothing but sand and darkness. Sometimes, in the distance, dry lightning: in the flash I see pieces of the wreck around me, the spars and rigging of my brain

-hold on. hold on. Steady up. Get a grip, girl. You have to fight through this.

This quote tells us a couple things. We know for sure:

1) there was a wreck
2) there is a female (probably human) alive. Female Spartan?

"Consider this passage from the end of the tale hidden in the images"

Is this refering to the refrence the adress appearing at the end of the clip?

Looking back at the relationship between the text on the website and "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka, does anyone else see a very subtle connection with the fact that people undergo a metamorphosis when changing into the flood?

"The day will break and the sun will rise when the Queen returns to rule, and further let it be known that retribution on any who hinder the return of the Queen will be swift and terrible"

a piece quoted from the forum section about what will happen if anyone is to interfer with what is happening at ilovebees.com. i may be looking into this a bit far but hey that's what an imagination is for.
since this website is for some reason on the offcial halo 2 theatrical trailer it has to mean something! so this is my geus as to what that quote above means. i'm geussing that it is a message from the covenant ruler, a queen ruler. (yes a queen ruler) i geuss this because this quote like the covenats attitude is powerful and confident. i belive that this is her warning that they are going to attack earth (which we already knew) and wipe out the human race. sort of like a warning that we should give up and surrender now and maybe they'll make our deaths a little less painful sort of thing.
it is possible that the covenat leader is female because the covenant don't seem to have a problem with female rulers as far as we know because we've never heard anything of it, so it is possible, also the covenant act like bees. they do what they are told without question, without reason, and without mercy. perhaps this website is a metaphor for the covenant lifestyle. anyways that's my crappy theory.

p.s. this is of corse just speculation in the halo world, not the real world! that's not to say that bungie can't give hints about the halo world in the real world.

another wierd thing; all of the comments and 'updates' are dated before the trailer even came out....I wonder if anyone knows if this site even existed before this, or if it was really 'hacked'.

All the updates are dated as August 24th as well; one dates AD 79, the eruption of Mt Vesuvius?!! What the...

I also found another URL buried in the 'comments' http://imaninja.com/; it just leads to a blank, pure black page.

well the countdown expires on August 24th which is the anniversary of the explosion of Mt Vesuvius!! But how does this relate to Halo? Something to do with the a forerunner artifact that may have been buried in the explosion?

Well, at the end of the trailer MC is standing on a rock surrounded by something that looks like lava. So AD79 (Mount Vesuvius's eruption), could mean something!

Quote from site: "I sell Margaret’s Honey in 4oz., 12oz., and 16oz jars. Eventually I hope to sell them on the web. Watch here for more about that."

Multiplayer capabilities? Seems logical to me.

I just think this is an awsome way of bungie keeping us busy until release day without revealing anything. I already read somewhere that this is a game by arg. Thats what they do, they make these type of games to promote something.

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands buttered side down. Therefore, if a slice of toast is strapped to a cat's back, buttered side up, and the animal is then dropped, the two opposing forces will cause it to hover, spinning inches above the ground. If enough toast-laden felines were used, they could form the basis of a high-speed monorail system.

It might be Cortana... It says "In the flash i see pieces of wreck all around me, the spars and rigging of my mind. Since this says the spars and riiging of her mind it might mean that her mind is falling apart, a wreck. Also, usually AIs have a lifespan of 7 years, but Cortana abosrbed all that info, she might be dying in Halo 2, trying to hold herself together to help fight the covies.

My Specualtion - This is a huge game or easter egg hunt.

My Proof - Somone posted a link here to an overview site for all ilovebees.com info ... on the site it said (http:// bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

"Overview
Several people in the Alternate Reality Gaming (ARG) community received mysterious packages containing honey, and so the mystery began. "

I checked our ARG and found out its a wierd roleplaying website. ( http://www.unfiction.com/history/ )

"Alternate Reality Gaming (also known as beasting, unfiction, or immersive fiction) is an interactive fusion of creative writing, puzzle-solving, and team-building, with a dose of role playing thrown in. It utilizes several forms of media in order to pass clues to the players, who solve puzzles in order to win pieces of the story being played out.

Clues can be passed through web pages, email, voicemail, snail mail, television advertisements, movie posters, campus billboards, newspaper classifieds...really, in any way that information can be passed.

Many times, the puzzles that must be solved cannot be solved alone. This genre of game almost requires participation in a group or community that works together to win past the more difficult hurdles.

Beasting is unique in that it wouldn't be possible without the community-building and networking power of the Internet. Besides the obvious fact that there would be no web pages or email in which to hide clues, it would be nearly impossible for the diverse audience to coordinate the sheer amount of data, speculation, and solutions among players. "

On ARG they talk about using Television Commercials to pass clues (i.e this ad) and that that many times, the puzzles that must be solved cannot be solved alone. This genre of game almost requires participation in a group or community that works together to win past the more difficult hurdles (i.e Bungie.net Forums)..

More breakign new..

ARG posted in their rumor section soemthign about Halo 2 and Bees

"Halo 2 Loves Bees?
As strange as it may sound, there could be a possible connection between the ILoveBees site and the upcoming release of Halo 2, a hotly anticipated game for the Xbox console platform that is due out in November. It appears that the developers made a deal with Loews Cinemas across the country to show a theatrical trailer for the game during the previews before certain movies. The trailer doesn't appear to contain any new game scenes or information, according to scattered posts on Xbox- and Halo-related discussion sites. However, there have been a few reports that the Xbox URL shown at the tail end of the trailer changes briefly from www.xbox.com to www.ilovebees.com! There are a few online versions of the theatrical trailer floating around, but unfortunately their quality leaves something to be desired. You can see that something is definitely happening with that URL though! Is there a connection? If you can substantiate or disprove the theory, we'd love to hear from you over in the Haunted Apiary forum! "

Quote from Dana's diary: " 14 July 2004
Best case scenario: the delinquent site gets fixed before the 29th, when I'm flying to Beijing."

Now, wasn't the building on the Halo 2 poster a real-life building from Beijing? I remember reading a post from either here or HBO where the author posted the real building. Maybe on the 29th, we'll get confirmation that Bejing is gonna be a Halo 2 location.

Another message hidden in an image. This time in the background image. When I grabbed the background it was yellow. The message simply said:

"return her"

I wonder who is talking?
