I believe that the second Spartan from the left in the banner is wearing Scout Armor.
Scout Armor

If you look carefully at their left shouler pad, It looks like Scout! Also, by looking at the helmet, there are little indents on the sides. There are indents just like it on the scout helmet.

What do you think? Possible evidence of a class based system maybe?

Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

No, all the armor perms didn't exist during reach, and even if they did how would it prove a class system? The one on the far right is the sniper by the way.

How do you know armor perms didn't exist during Reach?

I said the second from the left, not the right. lern2reed

I know tard i was pointing out that the one wearing scout doesn't have a sniper, the one on the right does. And I know they all had MJOLNIR during Reach, because they had just gotten it.

Sniper =/= Scout

Nobody knows if ALL the spartan wore Mark armor, it never is stated that every Spartan wears that.

Thank god, someone smart. Can you explain how even if it was scout it wouldn't make sense since the snipers on the right, or how this doesn't prove a class system.

They all have Mjolnir Mark V suits, just different sizes. And don't argue with us, we know what we're talkin' 'bout.

You do know that all the armor perms are still MJOLNIR right?
No they're not! They are all made by different companies, so they wouldn't have had them during Reach, and EXPLAIN HOW THIS MAKES A CLASS SYSTEM!

Exactly, and he thinks all the armor is MJOLNIR.

You all seem to be thinking that this game will follow the books to the letter. NEWSFLASH: it won't. The trailor is differant than how the book says it is. I see no reason on how Armor perms is out of the question. Wouldn't it be a dull game if it simply followed the books?

It wouldn't prove a class system because from the banner you could conclude the weapons sometimes would not add up.
You said you saw one with scout.Well a Scout would use a long range weapon, example, a sniper.
However it is obvious he is holding a big bulky weapon resembling a turret.

No...Not really.
We'd get more information on the maters of Reach by playing through it, not just reading the book.
Sure we get more off site information but if we play the game we get different perspectives on the battle and fall of Reach. Like anything though there should and probably will be some variations from the book due to the fact that Bungie didn't make the book.

What I just said. Variation from the books. Which makes scout armor possible.

What I just said. Variation from the books. Which makes scout armor possible.

I meant small variations that do NOT counter Halo Cannon.
If a Spartan was shown wearing Scout then that would disrupt a part of Halo Canon.
Bungie tries to avoid disrupting their canon as much as possible but sometimes it can not be avoided and so something must be ruled out.
Scout is not worthy of disrupting Halo canon.

Signatures are for squares.

ALL MARK V IS THE SAME.

Scout is a variation of Mark VI, which wasn't in service yet.

Ok, let's have magical pixies blow pettles at the Covenant!

But... Oh no! The Covenant has hired gremlins to steal the pixies! Quick! Someone fire your paintball gun at the gremlins!

I think it would be cool if there were different class types and such however that would seem a bit much like an rpg to me. however the idea of switching between ai controlled characters that have different atributes and weapons that they use has credibility and would be cool.

Bungie controls all. Although only spartan II's wore mark IV armor the spartan classification number said in the teaser isn't known as of yet.

Yes, it is. Every Spartan ever mentioned in the books and games wore Mark IV, V, and VI armor. At least 20 of the 33 Spartans are mentioned at one point or another, and there is no indication of different armor.
