Your welcome.

Is this an idea for a UNSC APC?

  • 09.03.2009 3:38 PM PDT

+1 for you good sir.

Im always interested in new ideas. And this one is a great one although im too afraid of it being overpowered

Armored personal carrier. Its basicly a lightly armored tank with antiarmor and infantry weapons that can transport infantry units. About one squad each.

APC = Armored personnel carrier

I think the Elephant uses the exact same purpose from that description.

The elephant is a mobile base. Not an APC. This is shown because of its massive size and the fact it carries other vehicles in it.

"People can have the Model T in any color they want, so long as it's black" - Henery Ford.

No it does not at ALL. The Elephant can carry the whole team, this carries 5-6 players. This is alot faster then a Elephant, and the guns are better.
You do realize that 5-6 players form an entire team in MM?

And you just gave a reason why they shouldn't be put in. Faster and guns are better, making it far more useful than an Elephant.

no itll be too over powered =[ and make CTF lame and also big team wouldnt be as fun on the ground

The Elephant is useless to begin with. It is broken and is mainly for show, and we can assume that the team sizes will be increaed and a whole time is 8...not 5. And we are NOT goign by HAlo 3 standards
The Elephant can be quite useful if done correctly.

Secondly, the very reason why transport vehicles like the Transport Warthog and that Brute vehicle (can't recall the name) don't allow more than two players in (AI can take the other seats) is because A) Makes it too easy for someone to shoop da whoop the vehicle, gaining an extermination kill, and B) an entire team that unloads at the enemy's side makes it too easy (especially in CTF, where the players can use the easier to drive vehicles to grab the flag and get out. I suspect the Warthog was the logical choice because it handles like a fat man on a unicycle).

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Wrong. Try again. Mobile spawn point, mobile Flag spawn point.
It is broken and is mainly for show,Wrong. Try again. Low Tier = not broken. Mobile flag spawn point =/= for show.
and we can assume that the team sizes will be increased Wrong. Try again. There is no reason to assume anything about Reach.
and a whole time is 8...not 5.Wrong. Try again. BTB is the only playlist with 8 players per team. There are many other playlists with 5v5, 4v4, and FFA.
And we are NOT goign by HAlo 3 standardsWrong. Try again. Why would we not go by Halo 3's standards? Do you want to go by Halo Wars' standards? What standards are you using?

The point is that a tweaked elephant would do what you suggest, and more, better.

Resignation is my virtue; like water I ebb, and flow.
Defeat is merely the addition of time to a sentence I never deserved...but you imposed.

I voted no.

Just make an elephant with a retractable door. 5 - 6 people is a full team, so it makes no difference. Why would bungie take the time to design an entirely new vehicle when they can just improve a previous one.

All in all, I rather see amazing game play and an in depth sotry line rather than new weapons and vehicles anyways.
