I hope that screen cheaters die from paying attention to the other guy when he should be paying attention to him self.

YOU know what? you all have screen cheated at least a few times b4(unless you are one of those who belong to the "unamable" catagory see also uninformed. so just think of xbox live and better times for all of those who such greatly resent it.

It doesn't matter if I'm playing against a screen-looker, because by the time they see me, they're already dead.

muhuhahahaHAHAHAHAAAAAA

I don't think there is anything wrong with screen looking.

If nobody screen looks, its mutual respect.
If everybody screen looks, its mutual disrespect.
Either way, everyone has the same edge.
So what's the difference?

If you think you are noble enough to be above such tactics, then don't complain.

your a big fat airbag and all screen lookers are flaming cheetoes

i used to screen cheat now its -blam!- cause half of the ppl screen look and kill me

  • 04.27.2004 5:37 PM PDT

Screen cheating does indeed suck, but I can forgive it if the player I'm up against is better than me (meaning, in that case, I cheat). If they're not as good as I am, I don't mind if they do it.
Hell, usually I don't do it because it's sometimes hard enough to navigate the maps without having to also keep track of where the heck the other players are by looking at their screens.
Screen cheating on Chiron has got to be the worst.

The one thing that i hate more than any in the world are a-holes with small balls so they have to look on others' screens. just yesterday, me and 3 friends were playing snipers hang m' high and just when i come up on this guy sniping with his back turned to me i hear, "oh shoot!!" and he turns around and starts attacking me. i threw him out of my house. i have got something to say to all you screen lookers, XBOX LIVE and LAN seperate the truly good people from the ones who are good just because they know the map and in all actuallity have no skill. wait for halo 2, just wait. then you will scurry off like a beat dog with its tail between its leg.

Screan Looking is -blam!-... OH, and so's respawn killing (usually/almost always snipers)

Respawn killing is fine. If you were stupid enough to die and respawn in the first place, one more death doesn't hurt. ;-)

As I said before, in the rule book there is nothing against screen looking, infact it maybe even more of a challenge to fight your opponent knowing they know your every move.

I hate screen looking and all screen lookers who can't even play Halo. All 3 of the people I play with screen look, but its ok for them because they suck and i win anyway, they only bad part about it is that i can't hit them right in the back, i can't wait for X-Box Live on Halo 2 thats gonna be the best thing.

Ah but the best way to get back at them - system link. ohhhh it's fun. The "best" player in our town got beat by me because I play single player so much that I just got used to looking in the bottom left of my corner and turning that direction and 3 shots later (pistol) they're dead. Played team slayer against the 2 biggest screen lookers in the world on 2 xboxs..me and my brother's friend on 1 and the other 2 on the other xbox. We won 50-26 and I had 39 kills. They're no match without something to see besides they're own screen.

Screen cheating has pretty much always been apart of the console FPS.. You're all playing on the one TV, and unless someone is constantly staring at your eyes to monitor there movement, no one is really going to know. It did piss me off at first, but several thousand GE, PD, TS2 and Halo games later, I've come to accept it.

You obviously do have to change the way you play for screen cheaters (camping in the one spot for too long is not a good idea). Luckily system link is a bit more common nowadays, and these "screen cheaters" are being caught out.

i dont care if someone looks at my screen, ill just kill them. if youre playing on 1 tv, screen looking is unavoidable. i find that playing with a system link is much more fun.

Screen cheaters only suck if you don't do the same, so thats the cure, you lower yourself to their level.

The general feeling is that screen sniping is bad, hmmkay?

However, there are just times that you know they are there because their screen is the most vibrant or something. In those situations, I prefer to just pretend I didn't see it and play as I would have, just with slight knowledge of the incoming attack.

But, screen sniping is a truly important tool to utilize in 8+ team games. You should keep a slight eye on other people's screens just to stay in the know.

See for me and my mates when we only have 4 people split screen we still look at each others screen, butt it still doe's nothing in the end because just gonna die looking at some one else screen. When versing one on one and u are been sniped just jump around like crazy while looking on his screen or just smack his controller out of his hand and shoot him instead.

I think screen watchin is the same as using random jumping and continuous strafing as a fighting tactic....no one would do it in real life because it would cause them as much hassles as it helps them, with recoil and weapon shaking etc, but in most FPS games it is a viable tactic, even if it is stupid....just like screen watchin.

Until an FPS is created that takes these annoyingly innacurate gameplay tactics into account someone is gonna use them.

So if you cant beat em, join em.

My friend thought he was so much better than me at Halo multi-player, unitl I started multi-strafing and jumping around like an idiot too...now he doesn't say much at all...If you catch my drift!!!

Bunny Hopping is now a national online sport...please show some respect.
you can see almost all the players on a most online FPS, bunny hopping their way to victory.
