Imagine if the Pelican could be used in multiplayer ONLY AS a transport. So the multiplayer could be a bit more like Battlefield or at least more TEAM based, and you could take your team and drop them to strategy points to control or whatever.

My point is, a pelican wouldnt hurt the gameplay at all as long as it was either unarmed or slow or something.

Unless we have insanely big maps to play on or more then 8v8 teams I don't see it having even transportation as a purpose to put it in :x

Yes, thats exactly the concept Im looking forward to! The maps in Halo series are WAY too small and Run-and-Gun style. We need at least a few really massive, team based maps.

that would be my ideal halo game. not so much the elicans, but complete warfare! team based vehicles on huge maps. although, i would also like the traditional style of maps

Proud frenchie, elite fan, anthro artist not hellbent on yiff convention/pics/whatever, mature and intelligent forum guy, 4chaner, halo 2 lover and halo 3 hater.

if the pelican is slow, then what's the point? youre better off walking.
if it's unarmed, then it has NO mean to defend itself. it's just a giant moving target.
if it gets weapons, it'll become a super hornet (even if it's just a machinegun).
if it has no weapons but is invincible, then people will cheat and move it near the objective with full team inside, get the flag/plant bomb, and get away unarmed.

plus, as the others said... the maps are too small for pelicans.
and people wouldn't even play nice with them. they'd try to splatter or someone will take the pelican and go away on his own (like these champions who take a hog without any gunner...)

Your saying SandTrap, Avalanche, Sidewinder, Blood Gultch, Headlong, Containment, ect are too small?

well, bigger is better...... sometimes.
anyhow, a massive map is exactly what we need! the maps you mentioned are all huge, and great maps at that, and i, like anyone else loves a good small map, but think about it, you could use pelicans as elephants were used in sandtrap, you could have a true halo experiance, just imagine evacuating from a small building filled UNSC base, to regroup with your friends at the pelican, and get dropped off at another base, where you are assembling an entire army of tanks, warthogs, hornets and ODSTs to charge towards the enemy, TO BE CONTINUED
