Sounds good...The HUD(Heads Up Display) Should be read...unlike the spartans(blue) or the Elites (green)

I always made a point of posting in threads that there should be no Brutes on Reach. However this is a good idea. They arnt in the initial attck but maybe one ship goes rogue and lands on the planet.

I agree with this statement. No Brutes as main enemies, but I need some Brute Blam! kicking to cheer me up while killing Elites.

For some reason I thought that Firebomb nades were UNSC. But maybe I was wrong. I couldn't figure whether they were Brute or UNSC so I went with UNSC.


It's a Brute weapon, but the UNSC has something almost identical.

I don't think there will be hardly any brute because this takes place before the Sangheli left the covenant ,so i think there will be grunts,jackals,Elites,and hunters.

I dont think brutes should come out in this campaign because I dont think the Brutes became part of the covenant before Halo 1

If you read my post you would have realised that I said Brutes would be a renegade faction going to reach of their own accord and not being too friendly with the covenant.

It seems like an amazing idea, but i dont know if bungie is going to do anytihng about this.
Im pretty sure adding brutes to multiplayer and campaign would make the game A LOT better.

I don't EXACTLY agree with this..

But if it did happen, I would want the Brute to have sheilds AT LEAST. I mean once someone picks ob a BR, They're dead.


If they were going to make a change like this, you would need to throw out everything you think you know about weapons and damage and start from scratch.

For example, not saying how it would have to be:

BR's would do little damage to spartans shields, 4-5 shots to take off and 1 headshot to kill.
BR's would take 3-4 shots to take Elites shields off, and 2 headshots to kill.
BR's would take 4 headshots to take down an Brute

PR would take down a Spartans shield in 3-4 hits and kill in 4-5 more hits
PR would take down an elites shield in 2-3 hits and kill them in 5-6 hits
PR would kill a Brute in 9-10 shots

So there would be a balance, just everything would not be equal. If most people are playing brutes, it would be best to have a BR handy. Running into lots of Spartans? Better have some plasma weapon available or you will spend all your time trying to get the shields off. Elites would be a good mix.

No more one weapon end alls for any situation. In team doubles, play as a Brute and Spartan and make sure one player has a hard time taking both of you out.

It is BALANCE, without EQUALITY. Make sense?

But a Spartan and Elite can survive more than one battle. The brute may win the battle, but will lose the next due to massively reduced health. The Elites and Spartans will recharge their shields and be able to have a fair fight for the next battle.

So you see, I'm saying Brutes will be too easy to kill with your ideas. I'm trying to help you. I won't mind them if they are balanced, but unless Bungie makes them balanced by massively reducing their health, and integrating shields, that won't happen. And I can't see Bungie changing a character that is probably not going to be in MP anyway.


Ah, a point I hadn't considered. However, it is easily fixed with a return of health packs and a health meter for every unit type.

Maybe to the Multiplayer part, but a -blam!- no to the campaign. There are things like guns or color that can be changed, but adding a whole new character type is just horrible.

someone sayd the Brutes are better than Recon for matchmaking TRUE that armour is just hard to get, the brutes have a much beautiful armour and stuff...

good idea!!!!!!!!!!! ,maybe in some firefight levels the brutes would fight against the covenant (just to give a Halo 2 feeling)

Brute................8'....................6.2 ..............N .................. 90%.........100% ............Melee damage x 1.5
Elite................8'6''..................4.1.. .............Y ..................110%......125% more........Melee lunge x1.5
Spartan..........7'6''..................3.2...... .........Y...................100%........100% ..................Headshot x 1.5

Note: Shield.Health eg. Shield 3.1, normal shield, normal health (halo 3), Shield 6.1 = OS, Shield 0.1= Swat (no shields), 0.2 = Swat with 200% damage resistance...
