ok whenever someone tries to be imaginative on this forum, if they dont know absolutely every fact about the halo universe they are completely shot down, i personally dont care if they let characters, vehicles and weapons into reach that wernt strictly in the books or the timeline of events it all came out of their heads it isnt a real freaking universe its sci-fi i dont want the game to downgrade because thats the way its supposed to be in that era i want the series to progress with more weapons, equipment, vehicles and characters not getting rid of them because the type of armour or a certain battle took place or something ridiculous prevents it

Dude, cry more please. Some people just like canonical elements to remain intact. That shows they love the story. Get over yourself. And while I agree that adding things is nice, you don't have to go ape-blam!- when someone says "no".

So what if it's sci-fi? Continuity is always important in a game's story, otherwise we run into the ever so-dreaded plot holes.

Your argument is null and void because of the fact that ALL stories require continuity (Blizzard however, does not care about continuity, as they have said themselves).

I don't mind weapons and vehicles, but when you change the storyline is where I draw the line.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

One of the reasons that Halo is such a huge property is because it is sci-fi that takes itself seriously. It is not full of fantastical bullcrap that just "happens". That is why many who are actually fans of the story stick with the game, because the story is in a very well rooted universe.

Start randomly generating things into the continuity for the sake of someone that thinks it would simply look cool and the franchise will fall apart. I'm all for creative thinking, but injecting some bullcrap that doesn't fit in an already established universe isn't creative thinking, it's stupidity.

"YOUR DESTRUCTION IS THE WILL OF THE GODS, AND WE ARE THEIR INSTRUMENT."

"Crrrry s'mooar." A certain character in a certain game once said. That's directed at you, mister imagination. Trix answered better than I could, but I'll make it simple. Halo = Serious SciFi. Your Ideas = Stuff best left for your DnD games in the basement.

Flyable pelicans? Hardly imaginative, seeing as how people have been wanting it since Halo 2.

I'm all for adding stuff, as long as it doesn't seem gimmicky or muck with the canon.

Hey, I love Space Ghost. Just not this mangled, nasty version of him. Back on topic, you should go over to the Flood if you do not like serious conversation about Halo. People like the canon to stay un-plot holey, so Bungie can't just go introducing new weapons and enemies into a prequel game.

i actually agree, some people just try to say that some addition to a game would be cool but everybody sais it wouldnt work and sais its a dumb idea

who cares if it goes with the story line? a new vehicle would be awesome, or a new weopon,

everybody shouldnt be called stupid for being creative

I think that the campaign should stick to the story, not the multiplayer.

Canon makes great campaign, terrible multiplayer.
