As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.

If this game follows the last pages of TFOR I think it would be a cool idea if they had multiple 2-7 hour stories, seeing as how on the battle of Reach there were several different groups of Spartans doing different things, Team Alpha, Team Beta, and Team Gamma, and John and his team of 3 were deleting the Circumfereces data base or something like that.

Also the stories would have to be played in a ceartin order, for example there would be on story before the Battle of Reach, with some of the more notable early Spartan missions, and then there would be one when John returns after you beat the 4 on Reach.

I know this is unlikely, but I think this would be a good idea, what do you guys think.

Just enjoy the damn game!
Who cares about BR vs AR

I think it is a good idea. Tell 1 story from 3 views?

I can't tell if that was sarcasm

Well keep in mind there are still parts of the Batle of Reach we don't know, so some of it would be new, and yeah, it would basically be telling a big story from three or four different views, each explaining apart of it

No. It wasn't sarcasm. I know its hard to tell over the internet, but I've been writing my perfect Reach Campaign beasty script and that spans 3 posts, and that tells the story of so many Spartans.

Your friend is not a reliable source of information

this really isn't a new idea, its been done plenty of times in stories. it was done in halo 2 and I thought halo 2 had the best campaign so I think it should be done again

Halo 2's stories were not really explaing two parts of the same story, it was more like two different stroies.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Yeah, but an alternate story should definitely involve the Covenant. I would like to see what went on in their minds during Reach. The Arbiter's Campaign had by FAR the most interesting plot in Halo 2, even if he had some of the worst levels.

That would be a good idea for an 8 hour thing.

Even though you seem to be against all my opinions on this forum XD, I agree with this. I hope its done.

I would love to see how that would work out.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!

I think they had a Covenant viewpoint like in Halo 2, you would have to be able to kill Marines. And Spartans. In Halo 2, they limited the Arbiter's involvement to dealing with the Heretic and Flood while he was on the Covenant's side.

And even more so in Reach, because there'd be Covenant killing us, so when we played them we'd need to be able to kill some humans.

"YOUR DESTRUCTION IS THE WILL OF THE GODS, AND WE ARE THEIR INSTRUMENT."

I would love to see it told from different views of not just UNSC, but Covenant. From an ODST soldier in a platoon to a Brute Chieftain assaulting the generators, to a Spartan defending them, to a lowly Elite minor fighting his way through throngs of Civillians and Soldiers in Cote De Azur...the possibilities are endless.

Well ODST is trying somethign new. It's a flashback type thing.

Reach should be particularly interesting as you've got multiple spartans and a more galactic stage really. How would a marine respond to seeing a spartan in this time even? He wouldn't be, "holy crap, is that what I think it is" as they're more common, but how would he? I dunno.

There was actually one place in the mission "Sacred Icon" in Halo 2 where you could shoot at marines. You can't kill them though.

Anyway, the OPs idea seems really similar to what is being done with ODST.

Taking on different perspectives as multiple Covenant factions or ranks would be amazing.

Its not to simmaler, ODST explains what happens to New Mombasa at different time periods during the day, this idea would be whats happening on Reach while another squad is doing something simmutaneously, okay fine it's kind of simmaler.
