When trying to set up a lan game I found out my two installations with the same CD had problems. Anyone know where I can buy/get a new CD key for the game I'd really like to play? And, does anyone know if there is a way to turn on a chat filter in the game? Thanks!

I think at gamespot you can buy a cd key and download the game - you can just use the cd key and cancel the download.

No chat filter.

I've never heard of a chat filter, but.... I remember buying my Half-Life cd-key on Ebay as a Buy-It-Now. I had one of my brother's disks - he had the platinum pack with 5 games. It cost me like $12 at the time. You could probably find some for cheap...

Well, I checked it out for you (since vectorrecer has reformed me) and I couldn't find any that were sold as a key-only deal. You'll have to buy the entire game. However, you could contact the seller and ask him if he can simply e-mail you the key upon the auction close and destroy the cd. Let him know you'll be playing it so he won't try to sell it off to someone else. That would save you some shipping, and, if the seller's a decent human being (Check the feedback), he'll be happy to save the trip to the post office.

To get you started, here's a link
