Personally, I'm a mix of several. I normally try to keep a Sniper Rifle or Rocket Launcher on me at all times, but I admit that I'm not that good at sniping. Normally I'm a bit of everything, usually with the M6D. Oh, and at every chance, I stealth it. Assassinations FTW.

My name says it. If I can't beat you I'm taking you with me.

Hahaha, I remember doing that with my brother when we played Co-op together. One of us would run in, while the other would stick the guy running in. Worked wonders in Legendary, especially when we spawned with grenades.

R.I.P. Halo 2
11/9/04 - 4/15/10

- B( )B

I prefer to end my enemy's existence from as far away as possible. I also like to use my sniper as an anti vehicle weapon, with a single well place bullet.

I usually end up chargin in,guns blazing, then retreating and spamming grenades.*sigh*

I've never really found the sniper rifle to be very effective against the covenant::there are so many,I feel as if I am wasting my bullets.I save my sniper for the elite towards the end of the level, the likes of whom I am too lazy (or depleted) to kill.

I have several distinct styles of play, all on Legendary.

Just this past week I played using only Human weapons (with the exception of Plasma Grenades). This allows me to do things like emptying full AR clips into grunts just for the sheer fun of it. There is so much AR ammo laying around, seems like a waste not to use it all! The pistol is used to take out hunters, banshees, ghosts and wraiths, not much else.

The flip side of this style is to play with only covie weapons, ditching my human ones as soon as I have convinced 2 covies to give up theirs.

Much of my time is spent playing with just a Plasma Pistol, grenades and whatever human weapon I spawn with. I lose the AR for the PP when I have the chance.

If I am motivated, I will play all of the levels up to the entry of the flood by melee and grenade only. That is the toughest style there is in my book. Not allowed to fire a shot. Typically I carry the pistol or sniper rifle to help me in directing my grenade tosses, and a PP since it allows for the quickest melee (and I just like using my fist on grunt heads).

Most of the time I do not use a vehicle except to move back and forth between weapons/health caches. I like to look at the scenery, so I walk!

I'm a mixture of a few as well. Most of the time, I like to keep an Assault or Sniper Rifle handy.

In a word, "mechanical." Having played every level at least 50 times, and Two Betrayals a conservative 200+, I could probably walk someone through without even looking at the screen. Engaging from as far as possible makes the most tactical sense, but, where's the fun in that ? It's a quiet, business-like fun for the most part. Trying to emulate how Chief would do it. (Very unlike the cursing, controller-fling-restraint of trying to get the fastest no-die run in H3 on the toughest setting.)

I like to do whatever is the opposite of what the campaign would call for. On Halo, I ignore the sniper rifle and use the M-6D and needler. On SC I totally ignore the Rocket Launcher and use everything else. AotCR I refuse to drag the sniper and RL along with me They are too inflexible for general campaign and slow me down.

I love to bag Banshees with either stickies or the shotgun and like to take out wraiths with anything but the RL.

TANK BEATS EVERYTHING

run up to the grunts and ask them for a sleepover.

You need to play some more.:|
I could probably walk someone through without even looking at the screen.Ditto.

(Very unlike the cursing, controller-fling-restraint of trying to get the fastest no-die run in H3 on the toughest setting.) I've called bull-blam!- more times in that game than any other.

Man, you're calling me out, chickenlittle. Alright, I'll nerd-up. "50" is an offhand number at the very least for every completed level. TB is realistically more like 300 or beyond. The amount of partial levels...quitting halfway through and starting a new one...well, that's past any reasonable count. (Especially when no-die Legendary runs became my focus.) Oh, the shame...

Yeah, 3 is a hair on the sketchy side with some of the physics and deaths from your own guys. (A good 60% of my no-die runs are ruined by the Marines...conservatively speaking.)
:P

BAH-WEEP-GRANA-WEEP-NINI-BONG?

Definitely an Agent by that category. I'm perfectly happy with a M6 and PP throughout the whole game. If I feel like being more aggressive I'll loose the PP and use the shotty.

Since we seem to be discussing the number of times we've beaten CE, I'd say mine is somewhere near 70-100 times by now.

My style is more of a Sniper, a Sniper Rifle, plus a Plasma Rifle, and i'm set for level. However, given opportunity, I would rather asassinate everyone, covertly killing as many as possible, only going on meleeing/shooting spree when i'm unable to asassinate anyone else.

Besides that, I frequently restart checkpoints when I fail to assinate everyone, or have a marine die. (the first part of T&R virtually requires you to keep all your marines alive, unless you want to go through pure hell from those nearly endless covie reinforcements, as they drop down from the gravity lift on legendary setting)

All out sniping! Seeing if I can get 4 or 5 grunts in one shot!

I'm currently on my first playthrough, up to 343 Guilty Spark (?). I started on Halo 3 this christmas, and got halo 2 around easter when visiting family. 2 weeks ago I got CE, best campaign, but i have no LAN and I play games for multiplayer. My campaign progress is currently very slow..

but yeah, I like sniping best.
