The boys at ONI and those squid heads have a lot in common. Can't understand a thing they say and they're just as good lookin.Guess they're all going to have a long talk about technical whatsits and scientific doodads when we get home.
Halo: First Strike

Both of these things have been addressed in several topics already, but I agree with both things. It's utterly unacceptable if Bungie uses the Halo 3 engine again, but I'm optimistic they're using new tech.
And watching videos like the new ODST live action trailer, halo landfall, all of the live action halo 3 trailers, the halo 2 e3 2003 demo, etc. makes the games seem to epic and gritty and war-torn and that's what fans have been asking for this whole time, but bungie has yet to give us a game like that. I love the halo games, but you never get a sense you're in a serious war.
Agreed to both.
Especially the latter, for a M rated game, the story theme is much too light. From the revolution of the elites to the death of Johnson. The atmosphere just did not deliver. To me, a game can't just focus on multiplayer, it needs backbone; a strong story.
Gears did a relatively better job, but I think it's still a long way there.
