Alright, I've been gathering those little snippets of "Mayday, Mayday, Mayday" text, and I think I have enough of them to start drawing connections between them. Some of the things I'm about to say may seem a bit obvious, but best to mention everything anyways.
Start with this one: MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY nd in about half an Hour the Boat was overset by a sudden Flurry from the North. What became of my Companions in the Boat, as well as of those who escaped on the Rock, or were left in the Vessel, I cannot tell; but conclude they were all lost.
lay down on the Grass, which was very short and soft, where I slept sounder than ever I remember to have done in my Life, and, as I reckoned, above Nine Hours; for when I awakened, it was just Day-light. I attempted to rise, but was not able to stir: For as I happen'd to lye on my Back, I found my Arms and Legs were strongly fastened on each Side to the Ground; and my Hair, which was long and thick, tied down in the same Manner. I likewise felt several slender Ligatures across my Body, from my Armpits to my Thighs.
Now, put it up against this one:
MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY
black beach, nothing but sand and darkness. Sometimes, in the distance, dry lightning: in the flash I see pieces of the wreck around me, the spars and rigging of my brain
-hold on. hold on. Steady up. Get a grip, girl. You have to fight through this.
Take a deep breath.
Survival Key #3: How Badly Are You Hurt?
Mentally, subject is confused and disoriented.
I keep slipping in and out of consciousness.
Physically, subject is paralyzed but moving.
Okay.
What the hell does THAT mean?
Held down: yes. As if strapped to a table. Could I be in traction in some sick bay, some hospital ward?
Not necessarily one of ours.
But at the same time, parts of me being moved around, emptied out. As if under general anaesthetic, dimly conscious, half-aware as the surgeon cuts off my feet and sews them onto my shoulders. She opens my head with a medical hammer and sand spills out.
I WANT TO DIE I WANT TO
-no.
never that.
survive evade reveal escape. That is all you know, or need to know.
In the first, the narrator falls asleap on the grass and when they awake, they are tied down to the ground. Paraylized, yet moving to use what they say. In the second, the subject is the one not able to move. Probably the same people. Both say the same thing: person strapped down. The second one seems to be a two way dialogue between the strapped down and the doctor(?) But the patient mentions a black beach and the other says grass. But I'm sure it's meant to be the same person. What if it's something along the lines of the planet being glassed (planet being nuked to oblivion), so that the the surface actually become like a layer of glass. Remember what glass is, superheated sand... But that has some holes in it. But then again, so does the patient being (or subject) being physically paralyzed but moving (seems like the Matrix). I'm assuming (with fancy guesswork mostly) that they have the subject/patients body in the second one and the first one is his/her/it mind or something simmilar (whatever you can think of without copywrite infrigment on the Matrix).
Ok, screw this. There are so many connections between everything it's not funny. I have an idea that all these messages can be combined into one larger complete message, or something that makes sense. SO, I'm going to take a nice seven hour nap, and when I wake up, I'm going to finish this post with the rest of the other crazy crap I found. Until then, goodnight and don't the Enkidu bite. Oh, wait, the was last time...
Right, I want to start figuring out this puzzle tommorow...
