lol I live under a combination of igneous and metamorphic rock that's about half a mile wide. So no I didn't hear the announcement.

But they did just make a new OS. It hasn't been released yet, but it's coming out soon. It's called Windows 7.

I know about Windows 7. I meant that in order to get people to buy whatever new crappy OS they make, Microsoft would probably make a PC version of Halo 3 exclusively for that OS, just like H2V.

True, hopefully windows 7 won't be as bad as vista. I wonder, can halo 2 vista play fine on windows 7 and same with halo pc.

If Halo 3 is only for Windows 7 I would just stick to H2V actually no HCE or just buy a Xbox360 and play Halo 3.And have you guys heard someone is going to make the "SEX BOX"

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Another Vista hater. Examples of how it's crappy? Maybe some from personal experience, instead of buying into myths or general stupidity? Cause I've been using it on my gaming PC for almost a year now and I could never go back to XP.

On the topic of Halo 3 being Windows 7 exclusive, if that happens, you KNOW it'll be as terrible as H2V. If it doesn't though (and there would really be no justification for it anyway), maybe we'll finally see a well-done Halo port. Teeny-tiny chance of that happening, but it's still there.

As a matter of fact, I DO have Vista on my comp, and it sucks. Sheesh, don't just assume that just because I hate Vista I haven't actually used it. How could I hate it if I haven't even had any experience with it?

The Majority of people switching from XP to Vista says it sucks.I even agree a bit,IF Windows 7 is a better version of Vista and IS ACTUALLY WORTH FOR THE MONEY then I'd buy it.If it sucks I'm never buying a product from MS anymore.H2V is Fail and Aids BTW.

Sorry you're Amish and only have a gig of RAM. Cause that's where it sits at on my meter, making 2 or 3GB plenty for gaming. I've actually noticed that my 3GB of RAM is well over what I need for running any game out right now on Vista.

Wait... Are you one of those guys who actually thought that upgrading your OS didn't involve an increase in system requirements? Seem to be getting quite a few of those around here. Didn't you get the memo?

I'm sure you'll be saying the same thing about 7 when it comes out, regardless of how good it actually is. I guess if it uses more than 256MB at any given time, it must not be good. Yeah, and candlestick phones totally pwn the BlackBerry.

1: I have 3 Gigs of RAM
2: Vista came with my comp
3: If 7 is good, I'll say so
4: Get back on topic :p

Anyways, I could probably live without anymore ports of Halo games to the comp, especially since Bungie will now be making games other than Halo.

Vista sucks.
Windows 7 is a major improvement, especially 64 bit. XD can you has moar ram? yes you can!

I would like to have a Halo game on PC, that could be customized to our wants and desires,
Bungie's proprietary game engine used for Halo 3 + ODST is soo good and the fact that Halo 3 is "new" and actually better than Halo 1's Ugly ass graphics.

if they don't want to make games for PC, then why not release 360 software as a PC OS? (I wouldn't mind dual-booting, + 360 is extremely protected by some serious Hypervisor security crap)
lol madness.

Daodan Latency at 65%

I will disagree with you there. Halo 1 and 2 ran on a version of directX 8, (8.1 I think), and Halo 3 runs on a version of directX 9. Halo 1 was amazing, and it still is. Just because it is not Crysis, does not mean it looks bad. Hell, there are even ways to make decals act like water and they will move based on the collision model it lands on. Yes, you can make it look like water is rolling down a hill, or dripping from a pipe onto a down a ramp. There are many many things inside of the engine that are just waiting to be unlocked. I don't think it is fair to say that Halo 1 is bad just because it is older than Halo 3.

LOLOLOLOL IMA BUNGEE BETA TESTOR LOLOLOLOL.

H3 and ODST PC will only be good if Bungie actually works on it (like Halo CE)

BTW General Heed, ur vids r awesome!

  • 09.11.2009 10:21 AM PDT

Bungie just helped they really didn't port it.

Also Gameplay always better than Graphics

I actually think Vista is a great OS. It has a lot of innovative features to it and it isn't a memory hog. My laptop with 4 GB Ram and Intel Core 2 Duo runs it perfectly smooth. I've never used a faster OS before.

They would never release 360 software for several reasons. One, it's a console OS so porting it to the PC would cause them to lose money on the 360. and second, it won't be compatible in the first place. The Xbox 360 is closer to a Mac than it is to a PC. The Xbox 360 has a PowerPC Architecture which is way different than a PC architecture. Besides, if you wanted 360 software, why not just buy a 360?

  • 09.11.2009 12:06 PM PDT

Actually, the cheapest xbox 360 (Arcade Version) is onnly $249 now. And besides, a new PC/Laptop that could handle Halo 3 PC would easily cost at least 3 times more than an Xbox 360.

I already have a 360 you idiot.
Do you like always to hear, how certain features never make it to the game due to hardware limitation?

Halo 2 Vista made me interested in PC gaming, because of how easier it would be to mod than a stupid xbox1, I hated doing FTP all the time, just to make one change, and hoping I don't break the map (I do keep backups).
but turns out Halo 2 Vista fails, modding has been completely eradicated.

Halo 3 is great for Infection variants, and Online co-op, I hope to see such a game on PC.
that is more mod-able and creative. I would love for custom campaign maps, ai maps etc...
if it wasn't made to support mods, I would be satisfied with the 2 game modes.

Left 4 Dead and Souce Devolopment Kit

You want to be creative, can't get anymore creative than with the SKD..want AI, I believe you can choose spawn points, crescendo events and more

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I never heard of Halo 2 XBOX mods, other than some guy who was modding types, and said he modded. Of course, he got banned.

And Halo 3 should have mods, but according to Bungie, modding = ban.
