My best memory probably would have been the first time id ever played someone on halo. I had heard about it, and played campaign at one stage, I never played XBOX i was so Anti-Xbox, (the big controllers).

I had always called halo -blam!- and stupid and probably the worst game and stuff, until i eventaully came around to playing it myself.
My friends at the time were big into it, like playing single player and co-op and all that.
Best Memory, was when i never had a clue what to do, and i never knew the maps either and it was all new to me. Me and my friend joe played it, he completely thrashed me like, but it was still good, i never had a clue what i was doing,

Then I eventually got an xbox of my own and 1month later, was introduced to Xbox Connect, that whole summer all i done was play xbox.. and halo 1.

TheseDays im not much of a Halo player, still a fan.. but ive other things on my mind :)

Aerial Maps: Make air based maps a reality!

Use the GT Above me not Duke of Gamers!!!!!!!

ever since i got halo i knew that i had to master that game no matter what. when i first started it was on easy. i couldnt even figure out how to suck; heck i didnt know how to look up and down. but that was six long years ago. now i beat the game in a max of 1 hour. and finish the last level with 3 min left.

my best memory was...i bet you all have had this memory but it was me and my friend. we got halo at the exact same day same with xbox. we are family friends so we see eachother often. at this point we have been playing halo and still addicted for about..2 years.

right now we often play normal but we beat normal far to often. we were just scared to move on to heroic because all our friends who have halo (who we descoverd actaully suck the
game) said its impossible and that one grunt is like a hunter on normal.

so we said "hey lets move up all the way to legendary i think we can skip heroic" but we were wrong. we decided to play lv 5 assault on the control room and we couldnt do crap. we died from elites and those dam grunts drove us crazy. we eventaully got to the part where we are behind a door a warthog is outside and a couple marines behind it. we go outside get in the car and a wraith hits under us. somehow we survive and land up in a mountine

we were such nobs back then we were afraid to play heroic so you can imagine our reaction. and from that moment on we made a oath to master halo togather. and now we enter 2 on 2 tourneys. we got 36th place out 0f 190 teams so we did amzing and this year we are going to eneter again but this we time aim for first

oh and we now have halo 2 and play it more often then halo 1 but we often revisite halo 1 to relive the memory that made us the halo players we are today. and just if your wondering we play that level on legendry when we revisite halo 1just like four years ago but this time we clear right through it most times without even dieng once

Okay, this is sorta related to this forum, but this is HUGE NEWS ON HALO, I git this off RT forums This is not mine, but this is critical!!!!!! I needed a big thread to get this info moving.

***SPOILERS****

Okay, I posted this on HBO, and IGN.com, and I think it may bear mentioning here.

Okay, this has been bugging me for a good long time. There are 7 Halos, each with a 25,000 light-year range of effect. I did research, and as it turns out, our galaxy, the Milky Way is 100,000 light-years in diameter.

Well, I took some pictures of our galaxy, and opened up a brand spankin' new MS paint doc.

I took an overhead view of the galaxy, and divided it into four sections, each approximately 25,000 light-years in width, illustrated with blue stripes. I then looked up Halo's diameter, and range of its weapon effect. (10,000km diameter, 25,000 light-year range of effect). So, that said, four Halos could be lined up horrizantaly, each at an interval of roughly 25,000 lightyears, and span the entire galaxy with thier effective ranges.

So, I tried to figure out where the Halos would go in order to cover the entire galaxy. I ended up putting one 2 on the 1/4 line going vertically, 3 on the 1/2 line, going vertically, with one close to the galactic center. I put the other two close to the 3/4 line, also vertically.

When they were in place, I noticed that there was one tiny spot not covered by a blast radius. I also found that I couldn't move one of the radii into place over there without giving up a very large section of the galaxy.

I took a different overhead view, this one showed the names of the spiral arms of this galaxy, and the part not covered was a small portion of the Perseus arm. To be more specific, it did not cover Sol System.

Now, this is pretty amazing in my opinion. The one place a Halo's blast could not reach without giving up a different, larger portion of the galaxy happened to be Sol System. This isn't because I love humans, or I wanted it to be like that (trust me, I don't). It is eerily odd.

This gives some pretty nice proof (in my eyes) that Earth IS the Ark spoken of in Halo 2. In biblical stories, Noah, commisioned by God, was told to build an Ark, so many cubits x so many cubits x so many cubits. What the hell is a cubit anyway. Nevermind, I digriss.

So, this Ark was the only palce on Earth to be able to be saved by the 40 day and night torrential FLOOD God was about to bring. Noah was told to bring aboard 7 pairs of every ritually clean animal, and 1 pair of every "unclean" animal. (ritually clean animals were Doves, pigeons, oxen, sheep, and some others I can't remember), Noah's wife, sons, and his sons' wives.

So, once God FLOODED Earth, and the FLOOD was all gone, God made a COVENANT with Noah never to FLOOD the earth again. This is signified by a rainbow, the crappiest of miracles.

So, translating this from Bible to Halo, we get:
So-and-so (person-A) was instructed by so-and-so (person-B) to create an Ark that could survive the Flood once the Halos were activated. A place that would lie in a dead zone where none of the Halos' blasts could reach (Earth). So, Person A creates an Ark that could survive the Flood, and once the Flood is go (all life is destroyed), Person-A and several other Person-A like individuals (Forerunners) could emerge and re-populate the galaxy.

Now, approx. 100,000 years ago, the Halos were last activated. Also approx 100,000 years ago, -blam!--Sapiens take the high rung on the Food Chain. So, if Person-A comes to the Ark (earth) with the other Forerunners (possibly humans) that would explain why Humans were able to survive the last Halo activation.

So, it is in my conclusion, that the Forerunners are Humans, and the Ark is, or is on Earth.

Stop me if I'm rambling.

Hmmm... I remember the very 1st time I even touched an xbox controller, it was to play HALO. I was at my friends house and he asks me if I want to play a video game so I'm like "sure ok" so he pops in the game and hands me a controller. Two things happend right then, I got a new addiction, and I found out my friend was a beast at HALO. He whooped my ass to from blood gluch, to china town and back. lol

This was pretty recent, playing on XBC.

I was neck & neck in a team race game, last flag point to win the game on blood gulch. His invisible team mate (who was a lap behind) was invisible right infront of us & blew me up with a rocket. I threw my controller so hard there's still a hole in my wall.

i loved the grunts when they were going to throw plasma grenades "everyone duck" then they throw it on a elite i'd laugh myself to death. or the grunts throw a grenade on flood then the flood come and run over to them and they'd all die.

I guess mine wuld be completing halo on legendary 3 seperate times with 3 of my friends

went through it once with one mate
another time with a different mate
and another time etc.

and then just repeating levels over and over and over till halo 2 came out i guess.

My favorite thing in halo was that the flood was so common and the simple non-combatative forms were...well... solid and the macine gun was a strong-real-sounding-gun and how the flood would group up to be so massive then you blow them to hell.

I have a couple:

1.) Playing multiplayer on BG when I didn't own a copy @ my friends house. I drove the Hog on the cliffs (a difficult feat on the part I was doing) at running over my friend (it was normal slayer, so I didn't betray) He had no idea I was coming up, so he yelled "Holy Shhh i7!"

2.) After about 4 years of no Halo (still didn't get a copy) and after much H2 playing, me and my new friend took a trip down memory lane at a LAN with some Halo:Πand later co-op. We enjoyed it SO much over H2, we took back all the arguments we had with www.halo2sucks.com and joined their side.

3.) Going all the way through the campain by myself on Legendary for the first time.

My best Halo memory... This is gonna be hard...

O.K. I was at my friends having his b-day party and he had had his X-box for a year now. (He got it in 2003) He had owned Halo for a while and I had never even heard of it. Well me and him and some others began to play a 2v2 slayer on blood gulch. Being the only one in the room, except for my bro, who hadn't played Halo i got stuck on his team.

Well me and my bro got in the warthogs on red base while the other 2 got in the ones on blue base. It was basically a demolition derby.

I had just gotten used to the controls when my friend comes up in front of me. He stops a little bit in front of me and begins to laugh. He then comes charging at me full blast. Now I didn't run and i took his challenge. we crashed and i got launched into the air with one bar of health left.

Whilst in the air i saw my bro in a spot of trouble cause both the enemies were charging him. I told him to move and i jumped out of my hog. Luckily i had a rocket launcher at my disposal. Still in the air i aimed as best i could, closed my eyes, and pulled the trigger. The next thing i know, my two friends are going "how the hell?" and me and my bro are going "who sucks now?"

We won that game 10 - 4...

This just goes to show that you should never underestimate a newbie at any game

Fav Halo memory would be when we (me and my brother in law) found out about XBC and online playability.
We played constantly, started making friends from around (G-sp0t, Hannibal) and started LAN's almost every weekend. My brother in law, myself G-spot and hannibal became local elites. For those who follow MLG G-spot just took 2nd @ WCG yet again so this was some crazy local LANning.

On a personal P.S. Hannibal (local unknown to the rest of you) was a far greater player than G-Spot with a better overview of the entire game. It's a pitty we never took part in tournies, coulda had some fun.

my 3 favorite halo 1 moments

1. blood gulch ctf classic...
4v4 system link...my friend and i were considered the gods of halo 1 back when we introduced in to all our friensd....well anyway...the game was tied 2-2...the opposing team had just killed two of our guys (luckily not my friend, whom was at their base)...the other team was driving back to their base with the flag carrier in the sideseat... i was behind our base....i saw the hog driving back along the opposing portals side wall....i had rockets(remember no auto aim , fully acrros the map),.....i fired wayyyyyy in front of the hog....the rocket kept going, going...the hog kept going....perfect collision!! double kill from across the map on a moving hog...as soon as they were dead my friend returned our flag...grabbed theirs...hopped through the portal i gaurded him all the way running it back to our base....game over we win 3-2

2. Bloodg gulch ctf classic
2v2 - the opposing two team members got in separate warthogs i was in the center of the map...i had a hog on each side of me coming to splatter me to hell....they were headed straight for me coming in a V formation with me right at the base....i panicked...i had onlyt an assault rifle and 1 plasma grenade...i tossed the plasma on the groundright in front of me...the hogs met each other right on top of it BOOM!! both hogs did back flips right in front of me...i killed one and cleaned the other one ujp with the AR....absolutely beautifjul

3. Blood gulch team slayer
1v3 - 3 of my friends challenged too take me on in slayer(i was the best of all of us)..so iagreed...neard the end of te game it got to be 49-49...i was in trouble...i had a sniper on the ridge...and two pistol weilders in the middle coming to the base i was running into.... hoped on top of the base...chunked a plasma right in between the two pistol weirlders their shields and health dropped... i came runnin round the side of the base on their fllank...sniper missed me...i pistoled to death not one but both of the kids coming for me...game over...

i remember playin ctf 2 v 4 on blood gulch and got teamed up with my newbie friend so i was like ok you go rush for the flag and i'll cover you. keep in mind this guy can't even run straight yet, he kinda remind'd me of donut from rvb when he got sent to "the store" anyway he runs up to red base and i'm over in the top of the active camo cave with my sniper and trusty pistol. along the way i tell him to pick up the rocket and he's like "theres a rocket!" lol, anyway he rolls up in there blows the -blam!- out of two of em' and i took the other two with the sniper. he gets the flag; the first two respwn and boom tow headshots kill'd right there just like that and then i do clean up with the pistol as we head back to blue base. Totally perfect capture, they didn't get the chance to fire a single shot. They were dead before they knew we were there. Ha ha, ownage. Best part is we did the same exact thing two more times to take the game. ^_^

My favorite memory of halo2 was when it first came out and my brother and i went to wal-mart at 12:00 a.m. to get a copy, and then staying up all night playing with him, and watching for all the new things. It was awesome. My brother beatg it in 2 days, and he didn't go to school, eat, or shower. Now that is what I call dedication!

Hi,
I remember when I first saw the trailer for halo. Me and my friend were arguing who was going to buy xbox and halo! I left that night determined to buy xbox and halo first. Well it took two weeks of hunting, and my friend had bought the system and the game.

Two days later he invited me over to his house to play halo. I still remember the fell of the controller in my hands. My friend had been playing for two days, and I had never touched a xbox controller. my friend set up a 20 point, slayer ,blood gulch. I can still remember the 10 long agonizing seconds as the clock counted down to begin the game. Immediately my gaming skills kicked in. I crept up behind him and mode him down. He gave me an evil look determined to get me back. Again and again my friend would drop to my knees. I beat him 20-1. In discussed he threw down his pad and stormed out of the room.
