hmm...didnt read all twenty some pages - but i'll add whats probably already been added. i like redundant, keeps things the way they are.

my fondest memory would have to be the first time i heard my TV say "Unfreakin Beleivable!". Many things have come out of the ol' destroyer of social activity, but that by far is the best i'd have to say.

oh, and when people accuse me of cheating...yeah, thats always a good one.

My favorite memory of Halo was a few years before Halo 2 was released. We always played CTF on Blood Gultch, starting weapons were snipers and pistols. The score was 2 to 2 and they had just grabbed our flag and the flag guy hopped in the warthog and he also had a buddy on the turret. Many of you know about the frag grenades devastating power in Halo:CE and Master Chiefs ability to throw farther. Anyway, they were heading towards the telporter, so I aimed in front of where I thought they would be, looked up and let it rip. As soon as it landed the drove over it and it shot them into the air. We killed them, returned the flag and went on to win.

bets memory i had was 1 flag on headlong btb tied 1v1 and we were blue team..i had died early and spawned next to the ghost, at this time they had the flag an our entire team was dead, i took the ghost and boosted to their base and came around the back, at that time i had justy found out that pressing A would make your covenant vehicle do a wheelie for a brake, so i got around the back and boosted and pressed A just at the time he was about to score, i got a killamanjaro splatter (i was host) and saved us from losing the game

another game was 4v4 muti flag in clanmatch on midship, i have host and shotgun, they have all the other weapons (sword, both br's. combo, carbine) i go into their base and get a killamanjaro-----if you dont believe me its in my games played on FaWkInAy227 (fawkinay227) i think they quit after that cause they got abused that game and we made so much fun of them.

3 years ago, sitting in my uncles apt. prolly eleven at night. he says to me " sit down right there, pointing to the couch, which faced a 50 something inch plasma tv. He says, hold on to something, i was like ok. He hit the lights, and they went off, and the xbox came on with this game title i had never heard of once before. HALO. My first expierience was being handed the controller, i had a fresh papa johns pizza next to me and nothing but time ahead of me. Once i started playing and still pretty much every time i sit down to play sp, or mp with friends the adrenaline starts flowing and i get goosebumps. I sat in awe of the game for the next two days. Still to this day i remember that moment, it did change my life and my relationship with my uncle, we spent two years playing that game every weekend. Sadly he passed away at thirty and im still in awe of the gameand thats the first time i ever played halo. And i will never forget it.

The first time i've played Halo. I rembember the first time i put my master-chief feet in the grass on the second level and found the first group of surviver marines. I knew they were close because i heard the assault rifle's shoots. It was something.

mine was the first time i played halo. i got through the first and i thimk second levels with no deaths. what i remember the most was thinkning, "this game is ... unique" it has a real story, the main charachter is a cross between a superhero and a soldier, the story is actually interesting and captivating," i loved the little touches like the squiggly lines on the energy shields, melee being incorperated into every gun, as opposed to having fists as a weapon, the balance of being able to cary only 2 guns, grenades available at all times, and the needler. i loved the needler the first time i picked it up. it was amazing and unique. nothing like that had ever been done before. i liked the feeling of pumping an elite full of tracking crystal darts and watching it explode in a purple flash! good times!

My favorite Halo Memory? Probably beating the first game. I never thought I would, because the flood used to scare the s**t outta me. I would always just replay the earlier levels.

Okay, this is sorta related to this forum, but this is HUGE NEWS ON HALO, I git this off RT forums This is not mine, but this is critical!!!!!! I needed a big thread to get this info moving.

***SPOILERS****

Okay, I posted this on HBO, and IGN.com, and I think it may bear mentioning here.

Okay, this has been bugging me for a good long time. There are 7 Halos, each with a 25,000 light-year range of effect. I did research, and as it turns out, our galaxy, the Milky Way is 100,000 light-years in diameter.

Well, I took some pictures of our galaxy, and opened up a brand spankin' new MS paint doc.

I took an overhead view of the galaxy, and divided it into four sections, each approximately 25,000 light-years in width, illustrated with blue stripes. I then looked up Halo's diameter, and range of its weapon effect. (10,000km diameter, 25,000 light-year range of effect). So, that said, four Halos could be lined up horrizantaly, each at an interval of roughly 25,000 lightyears, and span the entire galaxy with thier effective ranges.

So, I tried to figure out where the Halos would go in order to cover the entire galaxy. I ended up putting one 2 on the 1/4 line going vertically, 3 on the 1/2 line, going vertically, with one close to the galactic center. I put the other two close to the 3/4 line, also vertically.

When they were in place, I noticed that there was one tiny spot not covered by a blast radius. I also found that I couldn't move one of the radii into place over there without giving up a very large section of the galaxy.

I took a different overhead view, this one showed the names of the spiral arms of this galaxy, and the part not covered was a small portion of the Perseus arm. To be more specific, it did not cover Sol System.

Now, this is pretty amazing in my opinion. The one place a Halo's blast could not reach without giving up a different, larger portion of the galaxy happened to be Sol System. This isn't because I love humans, or I wanted it to be like that (trust me, I don't). It is eerily odd.

This gives some pretty nice proof (in my eyes) that Earth IS the Ark spoken of in Halo 2. In biblical stories, Noah, commisioned by God, was told to build an Ark, so many cubits x so many cubits x so many cubits. What the hell is a cubit anyway. Nevermind, I digriss.

So, this Ark was the only palce on Earth to be able to be saved by the 40 day and night torrential FLOOD God was about to bring. Noah was told to bring aboard 7 pairs of every ritually clean animal, and 1 pair of every "unclean" animal. (ritually clean animals were Doves, pigeons, oxen, sheep, and some others I can't remember), Noah's wife, sons, and his sons' wives.

So, once God FLOODED Earth, and the FLOOD was all gone, God made a COVENANT with Noah never to FLOOD the earth again. This is signified by a rainbow, the crappiest of miracles.

So, translating this from Bible to Halo, we get:
So-and-so (person-A) was instructed by so-and-so (person-B) to create an Ark that could survive the Flood once the Halos were activated. A place that would lie in a dead zone where none of the Halos' blasts could reach (Earth). So, Person A creates an Ark that could survive the Flood, and once the Flood is go (all life is destroyed), Person-A and several other Person-A like individuals (Forerunners) could emerge and re-populate the galaxy.

Now, approx. 100,000 years ago, the Halos were last activated. Also approx 100,000 years ago, -blam!--Sapiens take the high rung on the Food Chain. So, if Person-A comes to the Ark (earth) with the other Forerunners (possibly humans) that would explain why Humans were able to survive the last Halo activation.

So, it is in my conclusion, that the Forerunners are Humans, and the Ark is, or is on Earth.

Stop me if I'm rambling.

I thought that was kewl find man! w00t 9.7/10...w00t

No offense, dude, but I think you must have had WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY to much time on your hands.

firstly, like most everyone else here, the game was un-freakin' amazing the first time i saw/and or played it 5 hours later i beat it on normal, and couldn't believe how well the plot was. best memories were painting entire hallways with a combination of elite and jackal blood (is there any end to that stuff?) and also in blood gultch, sticking a person from across the map (base to base) with a plasma-nade. other one was when i was sniping again in blood gultch, and out of nowhere my screen just goes all blue fuzzy. i had been stuck on the end of my sniper rifle from the "bazooka tree". lastly, my younger brother wouldn't shut up about something called the "flood" my first thoughts were, what kind of game is this? i'm shooting water? whaa? then....came 343 Gulty spark....good...god. that has to be one of the freakiest moments in video gaming history. ever sense then, i've had an averson for levels with flood.

My best memory was when we played a LAN game of 4 vs. 4 on Halo 2 in a friend of mine's Beach house (keep in mind that we played it when the tide was too strong and at night all of the night!). We played at Coagulation a nice Slayer with two XBOX's which was pretty cool cause we had a nice buffet, coke, and a lot Halo. Because my friend's parents were there they actually invited the girls including a veeery special person to me. The girls were actually pretty good, and once they stole one of our XBOX's and 4 controllers and took them to their cabin.
HAHAHAHHAA it was hilarious to see jake mad!

my fondest memory is,,, strange, me and a friend were co-oping on the level halo, in the middle of the area with the river, which leads to the marine's. He's in the warthog's driving seat yelling at me to get in and it goes like:
"dude, just get in the friggin warthog!!"
"no, as long as i have feet, i'll walk!"
at this moment i look down, and have no feet.

Ok, I came a little late to the Halo party. the first itme I played I was at my friends house and I knew I had to get this game. I started with Halo 2 (Sony guy before Halo) so, I was saving up all my money to buy Xbox and Halo 2. I was doing odd jobs for family jsut to make a couple ucks. Well, sadly I was saving up in December. Christmas Time 2004. So, Xboxes were sold out everywhere. So, I was mad, I come back the next week and they are back in stock! I pick up the Xbox and my copy of Halo 2. my dad let me play it downstairs on the big screen. I turn it on load up the first level and am in training. The best is when I hear my dad say "Hay Tom! Where's all the action?!" I said to him in time dad, in time. So I ifnally get to the action and I jsut fell in love. That door opening with a huge blast and jsut firing at every covenant son of a b*tch that came in my way! This is the only series in gaming history that makes me feel that way.
