"....There are those who said this day would never come. What are they to say now?...."
My best memories have to be:
Seeing Halo for the first time, after being told how awesome it was, and not believing a word of it! It really opened my eyes.
Slogging it through legenday on co-op for the first time (taking 4 hours to do assault on the control room!).
creating a gametype very similar to SWAT (no shields, minimum health, infinite grenades..it was called Gerbilation :p), and ended up owning people at it as they couldn't get used to not having so much health.
Playing multi, I was always the underdog..I didn't own an Xbox until Halo 2 was launched, so I didn't get much chance to practice. One of my best memories was finally defeating one of my friends who had always whupped me previously, on Prison. To add insult to his injury, he was teamed up with someone else against me, and I beat them by one kill. It was so intense!
Another awesome memory is playing 3 of my friends against me on Chiron TL34. I was blue, and they were Red. We were just running around manically, teleporting all over the place, and I suddenly found myself standing with my back to the wall, as all three of them popped through teleporters right in front of me! Gibbering with panic, I ended up shouting "I see Red people!", before, to my own surprise, dispatching all three very rapidly and obtaining a triple kill. They were all reduced to tears of laughter at my outburst for about the next 10 minutes at what I had said, I I had an awesome feeling of accomplishment.
For me, multi Halo is all about LAN, most of my best gaming memories all stem from LAN Halo, or Halo 2 with friends online.
