Single player moment: I was playing heroic on AotCR, I'd just entered the first section of tunnel after the covenant armour fell before my mite, I was, however, being persued by 2 hunters, and 3 ghosts. The lucky thing was, I had the pistol and the rocket launcher. So I got a 1 shot kill on both hunters, then took the ghosts out with a final blow from my Jack Hammer.

Multi player moment: After a day of playing halo with my mate, we had a final game. The score was 9-9 and 1 more kill was needed for a winner. My friend josh was in the hog (which is my rightful place as I am the hog myster) and he was coming right towards me, just before he hit, i jumped, pointed my rocket launcher down, fired, and landed on the other side of a smuldering reck of hog, and a dead Spartan.

When i played a lan party and we got the flag in blood gulch back to our base. There was a guy in there with a shotgun so i told the guy with the flag to wait at the back so i went in and i shot him twice but he killed me so every yelled so the guy to stay at the back but he goes in and tries to melee him with the flag only to get blasted by the shotgun. What a idiot.

"four score and 20 years ago..."

no wait, lets try more like 4 months ago (yes, that recently did I pick up my controller, don my armour and storm headlong into the halo world) I was playing Halo through for the first time, staring wide eyed in awe at the glory and beauty of it all, and becomeing totally encapsulated in the game. I remember my first introduction to the flood, thinking "my goodness, the humans fear it, the covenant fear it, what the hell IS it?" and the surround system right freaking me out. The fact it was 2 am and I was alone MAY have contributed to it (my girlfriend emerged from my room and said hello, sending my skeleton to the 2nd floor) but it was very memorable.

Now I enjoy multiplay domination over my mindless friends, moderately good play on Live, and am about halfway through in Legendary mode.

Thank you Bungie, for Halo.

Multiplayer Co-Op: In Assault on the Control room, me and a bud CAREFULLY jumped of the first bridge to a rock ledge beneath it... we kept going down, one ledge at a time, till we reached the bottom. At the bottom r a bucha marines, an no Covies. We started killin em for fun. It was 2 spartans vs. 12 marines...You figure it out.

Single Player:In Silent Cartographer, sticking myself w/ enough plasma nades to blow the the hell up... WAY up... all the way to the top of the cliff in that lvl

P.S. NE1 remember where to get through the 'ceiling' in Blood Gulch and in Sidewinder???

I was playing a 10 player Multiplayer Halo game in Blood Gulch. My friends and I were playing with all vehicles, and my friends were on my team. I was driving around in the tank when suddenly one of my friends respawns right in front of my tank. *SPLAT* I remember thinking "Aww man... it'll take foverer to get that stain out..."

me vs 3 friends, sidewinder, all of them get in warthog, i have rocket launcher, i kill one of them with the rocket, the 'hog gets flipped over, kills another one, and then i wip out pistol and 3 shots later, ive killed all of 'em! however, we never finished the game because half way through, one of my friends goes opn a wild tking rampage. so we shut off the xbox as punishment. (this frined is a liiitllee bit addicted.) classic moment though. oh, another moment.... me and a friend have cleared out the area were you first fly a banshee (co-op) and we decied to play multiplayer with banshees. real classic fun. expecially when 2 hunters show up. boom. ahhhhh halo rules.

Respawning behind your friend who killed you on purpose to deliver a sharp blow to the back of the head. or "hazing" a noob by killing him is always fun in my mind.

CTF to 3 flags at bloodgultch
so it's tied 2-2 in a game thats been going on for about an hour I enter the blue base(im red)
grab their flag run to find a perfectly parked worthog their for the taking ,so I speed off over that first hill with power-up on it and see a guy sitting there with a rocket launcher ready to blast me ,but wait he's on my team there is no way he's going to shoot me right? wrong he's my newb Indian freind who is obviously color blind and also can't see the big green arrow over my head. He blasts me, But alas the flag goes flying towards our base ,lands right in front of it ,I respawn directly next to it ,walk into our base and score ,yippy!

My best memory is when I first played halo. I went to a friends house when he just got halo and never played. We put the disc in and we played coop. When it first started I was blown away by the graphics and then we started playing and I just got hooked. We only played till the level halo but it was the best game experience I ever had. Also that weekend I was going to get a PS2 and after playing halo I immedietly got xbox just for halo.

Best mp experience was playing 8 man ffa LAN on Rat Race and getting a Kill Tacular to win the game.

Beating the game on legendary finally. The last level I did on legendary was assult on the control room, and I remember beating it like it was yesterday. I also fondly remember the legendary difficulty ending of the maw. Good stuff, good stuff.

I remember I was playing Halo (level 2) and the first banshee was headed toward me, I panicked, and fired every round I had into it, and the wreckage fell on me!

Imagine this, it's a 2 on 2 match between me, my brother and my 19 year old cousins.(I was 13 at the time). Now, they had gotten the game 2 years before I did. It was a fathers day gettogether. The past Holidays that I played my cousins, (Thanksgiving and Christmas) They would beat me with killtaculars. I had just got the game after I played them at Christmas. Now on Fathers day, I was afraid to play them, but me and my brother challenged them at CTF on blood gulch. They were ahead 2 flags to 0, but me and my brother came back and won the whole thing 3-2. One of the better moments of it was when my brother decided to go get the flag.He told me to defend the base. Well, my cousins did an all out assault on my base. Now Imagine, I was on the top of the Blue base, I saw my cousin trying to peek over the hill to snipe me out, I also saw my other cousin about 100 feet from my base and trying to take me out with his pistol. I chunk a grenade over at the cousin I first mentioned, I whip out my pistol, and take out the second cousin I mentioned. The grenade didn't kill my cousin, but it did move him out from his hiding place, giving me enough time to kill him.

Another great moment during that match was when we were tied at 2 and me and my brother were celebrating after getting 2 consecutive flags. My cousins blocked the teleporter with the warthog. My cousins had a sucessful assault on our base, killing both of us,but just as he tried to escape through the teleporter, but, it's blocked because of the warthog that they placed there. Me and my brother respawn and kill both of them. Later we got another flag and won the match. And that, I will never forget.

1) Playing an 8v8, hang em' high, Sniper Pro (50% health, snipers only) an just getting a killtacular off one shot!
2) this will prolly sound stupid to some of you, but my 2nd lan and it was a ffa, 12 ppl, rat race, race and i won by 3 laps on everyone else..... i got hooked on halo after that

My best memory is finally finishing the game and watching the final cutsene, it was so sombre. After that, I was hooked on Halo. Even more after I saw the movie where the Chief jumps out of his ship, the E3 2004 demo and the screenshots and stories from the Beta test. Did anyone else have this problem:

When you're playing through The Maw, and you're in the Warthog and you come to the bit where Cortana says, "Chief, up ahead they're a gap in the trench. At top speed you should be able to clear it!!!" Well, I thought I had to get to that platform with the power cores (!), so I got stuck there for three weeks (no joke). Every time I would miss it and fall (I was supposed to fall, but I was too stupid to figure it out). So, anyway, I finally decided to take a punt, and, what do you know, I get to the Longsword.

Anyway, back to my favourite part. Who doesn't love that scene? Seeing Halo get blasted apart, and part of the ring go clean through another, and the final bit where the Chief says, "No. I think we're just getting started.", Then takes his helmet off, but we don't get to see it, and then the camera looks in on the galaxy and there are the last bits of mournful music...

Multiplayer moment:
When I got Halo on computer and played it over the net for the first time.

One of my best memory of halo was when I had Halo lan party on November 30th 2001. It was 8 vs 8 Team Slayer match and we won by 50 ~ 47. I've got the 3rd most kill because I was away from the scene for 10 minutes. All of us were newbies (of course, since we only played like a month).

When I first bought my Xbox and Halo my friends were high atop the Playstation 2 bandwagon. I invited them to come over and play some PS2 for the weekend. They probably wouldn't have come over if they new I owned the hated Xbox. I made sure my room was dark so they couldn't see the console, controllers, or the game. I kept them entertained with some food and TV, until I felt I should introduce them to Howard, my Xbox. ( if you don't know your Xbox's name, you're out of the loop. Check under the console in multiplayer on the loading screen before the game starts.) I made sure the game was already running before they entered my room. I started it up and started playing, then I told them to come in. They were amazed at the game's graphics, gameplay, sound, everything. Now they hadn't really heard anything about Halo, so they were asking what it was and when it came out. I simply said "here, grab a controller and lets play." They went to the living room to grab their PS2 controllers, and I told them I bought them some new ones. When they held them there were complaints about"Duke". I said "you guys need to get used to those if we're going to play Halo!" They flipped out about itfor awhile, until they played it. I'll just say that Howard left us only after a few days. It seems that constant use of an Xbox can cause severe fever, resulting in death. It overheated. I got it replaced. We played for another week on, until we needed som sunlight and fresh air.
