Well I just wrote this post on another section of the forum, and I liked the way it sounded, so I'm going to paste it here :b. Basically it's a way to make Reach work as a cross-platform game, so it could be played on the 360 and PC. Read before you flame, please :)
It would have Fully customizable maps and map editors (like in Custom Edition.)
Also cross-platform capabilities, with the option to play Cross-Platform (possibly a "Cross-Platform" Playlist) where people playing on the 360 can play people on the PC. Especially good in the fact that I can finally shut up my friends who think they could beat me on my computer playing them with their 360's :)
The "Cross-Platform" Playlist would be the only way to play PC vs 360, other than Custom Games, of course. Thus eliminating the people who know PC kids would dominate, and others who are afraid of aimbotters (which are, sadly inevitable, unless there are no 3rd party devices aloud to be running along with the game on PC)
Not allowing third party software to run with the game might help a little, but it would annoy people trying to record. Yet the porters could always allow Fraps and Gamecam to be used, or seeing as how we'd have Theater; enable 3rd party apps only to run when in Theater (allowing people to record there, or with Bungie Pro we could always save the vids and let Bungie render 'em :D.)
Just a few quick things that could make the game work. Address more issues and I may have an idea to get past it.
