This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

When you first install, it sets it to say 800x600 and then you neeed to change it. try loading it on another display and set a diff res then load again on the hdtv.

You probably bought a 720P "HD" TV.

Most people are ignorant when it comes to buying electronics, which is why so many of the 720P models sell. Technically, they're HD, they're just not FULL HD.

Post your TV's model Number.

what imput are you using? I highly suggest you don't use S-Video, that thing is out dated I don't know why TVs still have those. I do suggest getting an HDMI adapter for your computer and using the HDMI input.

check if your tv can do 1080p over vga.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

That might work. But let's try to find a solution that doesn't involve spending money.

Many HDTVs support a max of 1360x768 over VGA. Try dropping down to that.

It supports 1920X1080 @ 60hz refresh. If you're trying to refresh higher than that it's going to not give yo a display.

You'll have go to into the Windows display settings to ensure it's set at 60. You'll have to do that while you actually have a monitor hooked up since you don't have a picture on the screen to actually navigate through.

Here's your users manual for your TV.

HDMI would still be a better solution. You can get cables pretty cheap on Ebay, and for your purposes they'll work just fine. I use a 18 ft HDMI cable I paid $12 for and it works great.

Ovrclck350 wins, but I'm gonna lazy-link it.

newegg.com also sells some of the cheapest ass HDMI cables and whatnot. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE& ;DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=HDMI&x=0& y=0

There are expensive high speed 1.3 cables but your not sacrificing much quality by going with cheaper 1.3 HDMI cables.
