I'm going to explain you how a Operational real HUD could be implemented as an option for Reach.
-If you activate your Operational Real HUD(ORH) your HUD will interact with the enviroment.
Examples.
-In snowy maps(like avalanche) your HUD will be snowy and scrathy, this changes are only applied over the bounds of your HUD and they won't affect the gameplay.

-In dusty maps(like sandtrap,standoff,sandbox...)your HUD will be dusty and with ocasionally scrathes.

-When entering a battle, exploding grenades and rockets will affect o your HUD.

Note:This minor changes will not affect drastically the gameplay.Discuss.

Proud frenchie, elite fan, anthro artist not hellbent on yiff convention/pics/whatever, mature and intelligent forum guy, 4chaner, halo 2 lover and halo 3 hater.

reminds me of Metroid Prime. when youd enter a snow area/exit a snow area, there is some ice on your visor for a second.... which is cool.

so it's a good idea.

when an explosion happens nearby, have static on your HUD. pretty cool.

Why not? You get static in your HUD while your getting hurt many times in Halo 3: ODST.

Vancouver BC, Canada.

I like these ideas. Small, but effective.
