Or RTS.
Doubt it, Halo Wars sucked compared to the FPS Halo games.
you're right. a RTS does really bad at being a FPS! /sarcasm
HW was a great game. just because you sucked at it doesn't make it a bad game.
proof? best rated console rts ever. best selling console rts ever. high metacritic score. still ~5000 players online at anytime. I lol'ed.
Ratings really mean nothing towards a person's view on an item. No I'm not sure if that comment on being the best selling is right, but sure doesn't seem like it to me. And Halo 2 averages from 3000 to 5000 players a day. It has been out for almost 5 years. Halo Wars has been out for less than a year. If that's a measure of the game, I would say it is not a very good one for Halo Wars.
compare HW with supreme commander. red alert 3. universe at war. lord of the rings. command and conquer 3. and any other rts I have forgotten.... none of them have more than 400 players always online.
to be honest I'd go as far as saying finding a match for 90% of other console rts is impossible because of the very low population.
for a rts, it does really good right now.... which is a proof of it's quality.
and halo wars IS indeed the best selling rts console ever (on any console) and in the 20 of the best selling xbox 360 games ever. (british OXM). There's a reason console RTSs aren't as popular as PC ones. They are generally of lower quality and content then PC ones. All I'm saying is that if Halo 2 manages to stay alive 5 years later, and Halo Wars is already at Halo 2's population levels in less than a year, that says a lot about people's view and tastes towards the game.
