Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

I've been thinking about how they could seem more like they haven't just copied the Elites armour, like it felt in Halo 3.

So I thought to myself, "What in Halo 3 has actually defined Brutes from Spartans/Elites?"

And it came to me. We've all seen the Chopper and the Prowler. They look so Brute-ish, you couldn't mistake them for Human/Elite creations. And I reckon this is how the should be.

In Campaign, they should have armour similar to Halo 3 Brutes, but less smooth edges and more jagged ends. The armour should be the industrial metal look of the Chopper and Prowler. They will have shields, and this armour doesn't fall off when the shields reach zero.

In multiplayer, the colours are obviously customisable, but the armour retains the jagged look, and isn't shiny like Halo 3 Brute armour.

Thoughts pl0x?

Spartan119 the Red Raven.
"So officer tell me how it feels to be at the wrong end of that barrel?"

i agree to an extent but the chieftan and comanders should have more ornamental arour.
but ya brute armour falling of is anoying and just looks bad. be didnt have to know of the elites armour to kill them. mabye break it some shoot off the helmet but not the whole suit.
and ya i love the brutish industrial spikish /crude style it fits them were the curvy sleek elites look good. the contrast really gives the covanant the feel of variety like they are.
good idea OP

Signatures are for squares.

It would make no sense canon wise.

1. Brutes have nice armor with shields, that stay intact.
2. They ditch the armor completely.
3. They then get Armor which falls off, and doesn't have shields.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

It would not work, it won't be canon.

I wish I was still legendary.

I already had an idea like this here. The only difference being mine were going to have primitive armour and a destructible shield generator.

But I can't see them being good for multiplayer. I mean, you'd have to have a smaller brute model, shields that recharge, armour variants that were actually distinctly different rather than 3 helmets and 4 chestplates...

This is an incredible step forward to being able to cure Downss sybndonre mn humans bineg.s

Brutes in multiplayer? No thank you.

No Brutes in Multiplayer. It'd be too much work. Halo 2 Brutes are better than 3's because they were their name. they got pissed and went on killig rampages and were so tough, they didn't need sheilds.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

It would not work, it won't be canon.

Don't care. Brutes weren't mentioned at all in either First Strike or Fall of Reach, so the canon for Brutes on Reach is completely undefined.

get out of here stalker

What about brutes having a bar like a shield that would be endurance, and you could recover your endurance by taking cover and resting, as a shield would? And the armor wouldn't break down when shooting a brute, but it would start to crack and a few pieces might fall off, just as a cool aesthetic thing.

Brutes were mentioned at the end of First Strike, infact, The spartans fought them. And it was Chiefs first encounter with them.

Wait, are there even going to be Brutes in Reach?

Hopefully they won't be.

They were taken off the Front lines by the Elites, after their "failure" at Harvest.

K. I want them in the game, in addition to Elites. Their presence can be explained.
