While I play Halo Custom Edition, on any map, after about 15-20 minutes of the game, it kicks me out and says 'Game closed down'...(or whatever the error is that says something like that) and after the error message, I can go back into the server list and re-join the same exact server that said was closed. Has anyone had this problem? What do I do about it?

It means that the host of the server has quit the game.

Do you have a router? If so, what kind?

I've heard of Linksys routers having major problems with Halo. It might be worth searching the Gearbox technical forums, though, as I've seen many threads about this there in the past, but don't have any personal experience pertaining to the issue. It has something to do with the firmware revision; I know that for sure. Try updating your firmware for your router and see if that helps resolve the issue.

I used to have this problem, just mine was probably from a different reason. For about a few seconds my internet would shut down, and I would be kicked out of a game with that message. My internet was just being messed up, and when I replaced a cable splitter, it started working again.

try this if you have win xp:
start->right click on my computer->properties
advanced tab
settings button under "performance"
advanced tab under "performance options"
make sure your "processor scheduling" is set to "programs" and not "background services'".

this is how i fixed it when i had that problem. good luck.

It has to do with your ports. If it is'nt set to (ie 2302) the port it then closes down the port when it says game has shut down, to solve this you have to do something with your router but I forget what you do becuz I didn't have this problem my friends did and he's on vacation
