Halo Combat Evolved
I got dem BrAiNDAwGS in me

I mean it's only natural that your spartan bleeds to death from the fall. I always thought it was stupid when my spartan would jump and not break an ankle. Plus the small Spartan up top in the banner looks anorexic, so........

I know and you should also trip on one of your legs if you jump to much. Plus when you go on a grav lift you should fall ragdoll style and loose some health.

may I remind you that you're a super soldier with energy shields and genetic augmentations in an indestructible armor? even I could run into a gravlift AND land on my feet........
in the books, a spartan be dropped almost from orbit and survive the fall.

but gameplay wise... I'd like fall damage. you would have to fall from higher than in HCE though, because HCE was a bit... hum... ridiculous.

OP might be trolling, but it can easily be a serious discussion as well. I agree that the height should be greater than in CE. As far as getting dropped from orbit is concerned, I'd imagine that would hurt like hell regardless of the armor, and still damage would be taken. I don't think falls should kill, but a little damage taken, or shield weakening for missing a jump or something could be an incentive and alter gameplay quite a bit.

"So officer tell me how it feels to be at the wrong end of that barrel?"

2. yes fall damage but not as short as combat evolved but still relevant to gameplay remeber we arent the SUPER SUPER startians

Still want fall damage?

Then all of Halo 3's campaign would be a lie! D:

Keep in mind that this game takes place before Halo 1, which means the player would probably be in Mark V armor, which didn't protect against fall damage.

Well MC hammer fell from space in Halo 3 and he was on fire. Yet in multiplayer you can be killed by a flame thrower, so...

Exactly, plus when you fall out of a map you magically die before hitting the ground. What's up with that? Yet Chief Can fall from space and walk it off like a PIMP. Also who do you die when you jump in water in Halo 3, but chief survived in Halo 2's water mission.

I would love fall damage it made good ol maps like Damnation.

I thought it was a type of metal that they graphed onto the bones during surgery. Also it wouldn't stop internal organ damage!

lol, surgery would be impossible for a Spartan. So in a way, it's a win- loose deal. Bones don't break= Epic Win.
Organs fail but surgens can't cut bone open to fix it= fail.

-blam!- are you talking about? They put the metal around the bone. Also how is surgery impossible for a spartan? Oh and this is 500 years in the future you dunno what's gonna happen

Edit: I see what you mean but whatever my case stands.
