I think the 2-handed needler should come back in halo:reach because it is a two handed weapon, and it should have not been eliminated from halo 3.What do you think???

Perhaps it could, but it shouldn't be set on the MM maps next to eachother like other duelwieldable weapons. The only reason why I support it is because it only takes one hand to operate it, so you'd think that a Spartan could hold two at the same time. Perhaps they can weaken it or something, make it so that a full needler only has enough needles to take down 2 people.

i like the halo 2 needler since it had alot of ammo i am a relly big fan of having lots of ammo in a clip even though it might be annoying since i never played halo 2 online i know the halo 3 needler is quick but only kills one gy at a time unless thats just me

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Yep. Just disable the tracking when dual wielding.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Absolutely. It was just awesome. I loved unleashing walls of needles at people on Beaver Creek. We need more of that.

While being funny weapons are meant to KILL PEOPLE. Not annoy them. If you want a weapon to be funny then it shouldn't be in matchmaking or campain . It should just be a custom game weapon that you make stupid yet sometime fun games with.

Or you could just play the game for what it was developed for: Fun.

dying again and again without killing = frustration, not fun.

One way, Bungie could do it, if they really want to keep the Needler single weilded, is to make it duel wieldable in the Campaign, but block the duel wielding in Multiplayer, the same can go for the Plasma Rifles if they revert to their Halo 1 effectiveness.

Or even better, this thread solves the dual wielding problem.

Three-time legendary member on a single account

no it should be the exact same as it was in halo 3 because that was the only needler in the series that was balanced and not overpowering, cheap, or useless. it was perfect. breaking things that worked doesn't benefit the game. *cough*br spread, short bus melee system, blackout*cough*

Definitly, however, I think that in the campaign, enemy Elites should be able to duel wield weapons like the Plasma Rifle, (even if its like the halo 1 rifle) and the Needler, (it dosen't have to be toned down like the halo 2 needler, it can still remain the halo 3 needler) mainly, because it was shown that elites were very capable of duel wielding perfectly, and being amazingly efficient with that capability.

While this may give elites an unfair advantage in duel weilding powerful weapons in the campaign, that makes killing these mighty elites all the more rewarding.

Elites should be more powerful in campaign. So should brutes.

Definitly, make the brutes fast like halo 2 brutes, with a improved berserk, Bungie can still keep the shiny armor of the halo 3 brutes, just increase their vitality, so they aren't pushovers.

This. Don't elites fire even most powerful weapons like fuel rod guns and rocket launchers with just one hand? Sure it's over the shoulder, but it's still with just one hand.

Yea, the elites do technically use one arm to wield Rocket Launchers and Fuel Rod cannons, (sadly, not the Arbiter) however, I think the kickback of firing these powerful weapons, along with weilding another weapon would make it difficult to control the heavy weapons, along with aiming with them.

Still, it would be quite a site to see an elite duel weidling two heavy weapons as the elite goes in a berserk like mode of trying to end a spartans life in a blaze of glory, after watching most of his brethren get killed by the human player.
