A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

Halo: Reach has been confirmed as a FPS. I doubt it will be a squad or classed based FPS simply because this (as far as we know) Bungie's last Halo game. It wouldn't make sense creating an entirely new style of game with all this past experience in the current Halo sytle.
It would be like majoring in one subject at colledge, then after 3 or 4 years, you decided you wanted to "try something new," even though you are already an expert at what you are currently doing.
^and I don't want to get flamed for that anallogy. The purpose of an anollgy is to provide an example that other's can more easily relate to. Since it is not exactly the same as the original topic, it will be open to debate. That's a very reasonable assumption, and I definitely see your point.
However, what the hell else is Bungie going to add to the next Halo. I mean they already made three of them. A new storyline? More weapons, vehicles and enemies? An improved Forge? Firefight? More maps (and crappy remakes)? Yeah probably, but what will make Reach feel FRESH? A brand new freaking Halo game that is worthy of praise needs more than just improved features that they already have. Reach (and for that matter any sequel or prequel) needs to feel brand spanking new, and in order to achieve that, Bungie will need to add groundbreaking new features. It may not be classes (although I'm sure as hell hoping that one of the features is classes), it may be things that are completely different.
Regardless of what Reach turns out to be, I have faith in Bungie.
