“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Prove me wrong.

p.s. - read through the thread before paraphrasing me against myself. its been done already.

there, was this so hard?

halo has never been a class based game.
they won't change the formula for the lulz. it's like if CoD suddenly turned into a platformer or gears of war into a fps. makes no sense.

well, I was banking on this being a repeat thread. (despite getting nothing on searchbar...)

halo has never been a class based game. halo has always been about the chief being a lone wolf

they won't change the formula for the lulz. it's like if CoD suddenly turned into a platformer or gears of war into a fps. makes no sense.
*shrugs*

there's a first time for everything.

"YOUR DESTRUCTION IS THE WILL OF THE GODS, AND WE ARE THEIR INSTRUMENT."

That's not proof. That's speculation. That's like saying the cover of something defines the game completely. In CoD:WaW, I did not run through dirt, rain, and mud, straight forward at the enemy with a Thompson, nor was there a cutscene for that. In Left 4 Dead, I didn't have only four appendages on my hand, I had all 5. Grand Theft Auto wasn't a game told in comic strips. Until you can get proof, which you can't for a while, this is speculation.

Wrong. I'm positive Reach is NOT a class based shooter. Prove me wrong?

Halo sold more copies than CoD by a landslide, so why would Bungie change to the loosing system?

Since when is Class Basing a Loosing System? And how the Hell do Sales mean anything? Sure, a game can sell, but is it one that's actually worth playing?

Explain your point a more, sir.

Since Halo outsold every CoD, Team Fortress, BattleField, Fear, game.

Bungie is a business, and they want to make the most money possible, so they should stick with the winning formula.

It's winning, yes, but for how long? They'll have to either reinvent something or add something eventually. You can't use the same concept too long, otherwise you'll fall into unoriginality.

he meant halo has more players and has sold more than CoD. so it a winning system compared to CoD.

Bungie will do what they did from Halo 1, to 2, or 2, to 3.

They added Duel Wielding, Hi-jacking, equipment, and more weapons, and vehicles with each game. Not to mention Forge and Theater.

They will add more stuff like that. Not DRASTICALLY CHANGING THE WAY THE GAME IS PLAYED.

It did change the way it's played. They'll add so much that's a completely different experience than what it originally was.

The core gameplay remains the same though. Adding classes completely changes the formula.

If somebody's opinion is being smashed and nobody's helping, I try and help. I use logic and extensive vocabulary (and sometimes self-destructive circular reasoning) to confuse my enemies into submission. Fear me, trolling, fapping creatures of the night. For I. Am your worst nightmare.

Let me say this. Reach's banner CAN imply that Reach would be a class based shooter, but private caboose has a point. 1.Halo has WAY more players (the most I've seen in CoD was 150k,most I've ever seen in Halo 3 was over 400k players) 2.Bungie is making a new game engine and they started right after the finish of ODST,so they should be done with it by the time we get word of the launch date of the Reach MP beta. 3. EVERYTHING ABOUT REACH IS PURE SPECULATION. NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING, IS KNOWN ABOUT REACH .

We know it's an FPS, has squads, but not squad based combat, runs on a new engine, and is the biggest project Bungie has ever worked on.
