if you have any questions about halo i am one of the few people on this site who will gladly help you. Even though this account has been active for only a year, my past accounts go all the way back to 2002.

Designer says he will use natal "...if it makes sense and is fun."

what would make sense and be fun? Only things not related to combat, as that is completely controlled by the...controller. Possibly some of those really fun interactive cutscenes, god of war or The Force Unleashed style, where you hit the buttons to do the actions except with natal you could actually do the actions.

For example: maybe the main character gets pinned by an elite and you have to do hand to hand combat and punch it in its ugly face. maybe a ghost is flying at you and you actually "dodge" it (in cutscene".

what i think would be really cool is skydiving using Natal. If you dont know the spartans actually skydive onto reach while its being invaded. Imagine using your body to control where you're falling and then reaching down by your hip to pull a parachute or something (even though in the books they dont have parachutes and hit the ground)

I woudn't mind.

interactive terminals or menus could be fun.

Signatures are for squares.

We won't be using Natal as the main control scheme. So I'm happy that it's probably going to be in the game.

i actually just had an idea for using it with forge.
1) manipulate objects with your hands (would probably end up bad)
2) could paint or write on the environment like in the E3 demo (would be kinda dumb actually)

also, a mission in campaign similar to the final one in Halo 3 where you drive in first person using natal could be cool if it controls well enough.
