Subject: Drop pods. Seriously!

The last time I tried to make a quote, a car smashed through my wall and the tire hit my grandmother in the other room. But for those of you who can haz once more between five, I say it will be five between seven divided by zero multiplied by Chick Norass and Broce Tee.

If we had something similar to the ODST's Drop Pods in Multiplayer, we could avoid spawn camping/killing as well as get an overview of the battlefield. From there you can activate base defense systems (AA guns, shields, even turrets) that will stop the enemy from skydiving their way into your base and stealing your flag. What do you think?

I wonder where you got your inspiration for that idea...

wait.... so you could drop anywhere on the map? even in the enemy base?

there are plenty of problems with it :
1 - drop to the power weapons/vehicles! it'd end up in a melee fest.
2 - whats the point of vehicles ....
3 - see that sniper that just headshotted me? well, screw him, im dropping 1 meter away from him. (defeats the purpose of sniper rifles).
4 - objective games. land right where the shield ends. nuff said.
5 - etc

No.

-indoor maps
-spawn near power weapons
-takes too long to drop
-AA guns/defense weapons would encourage spawn killing
